But...
Nothing Mr. Go Compare has is as annoying as:

Summer's Eve ran an ad campaign not long ago called "Respect the V."
The commercial first shows two cavemen fighting with clubs while a woman watches from the mouth of the cave. Then it cuts to Roman gladiators dueling as the Caesar's daughter looks on. Next, knights jousting while a princess cheers on. All throughout, a woman provides voiceover, saying things such as, "Men have battled for it since the dawn of time."
Then it cuts to a Sassy Black Woman(tm) in the grocery store, who takes a box of Summer's Eve off the shelf, turns to the camera, and grins, "So ladies, give it some respect!"
Yeeeah.

Trolling or actual? I saw him a month or so ago. He remembers me from when I was the youngest person in his audience by about 15 years.
Gaah! Can't find vid for ad I want to show. Must be out there somewhere...

GMA, the Chuck Norris ad has nothing to do with Mists of Pandaria or the monk class; it's just the big Chuck Norris joke. [He's a hunter, but apparently a melee one.]
And why on Azeroth would Blizzard draw more attention to the Kung Fu Panda comparison when there are already way too many idiots accusing them of stealing the idea from Dreamworks (even though Pandaren go back officially to April 1, 2003, and unofficially even further)?
As for that Kohl's ad, I'm neutral on it. Just about every complaint I've seen has amounted to little more than "Rebecca Black is teh ebil!" First, she's not some demon who'll kill you if you say her name three times. Nor is she even in the ad. Second, what were the two biggest problems with "Friday"? The lyrics and the autotuning. And neither of those is here, either. The lyrics are changed to ones that aren't really any worse than those in every other parody song ad ever made. Plus, since it's only thirty seconds, we don't have to deal with things like the gratuitous rap segment. Best of all, it's going to be gone in a day or two, having blighted your TV for less than a week.

1.) They know they're going to get sued. 2.) They know it's not going to hurt their profits in the least. 3.) They're Blizzard, they're rich enough to be every bit as stupid as they want to be. 4.) Blizzard is very, very stupid to begin with when it comes to everything but marketing.

No, but being reminded of her is enough to get that goddamn song stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

Without getting all philosophical about how one puts oneself into one's art... it's still her goddamn song, just with different lyrics.

No, those weren't the two biggest. Oh, they were big, but the song's droning lyrical tone combined with its gratingly rapid-fire delivery ensured that even if the lyrics weren't completely stupid, it would be an awful song. And guess what, they're here!

Why would they get sued? As I said, Pandaren predate Kung Fu Panda. Dreamworks wouldn't waste the money on a suit they know would get tossed. The people screaming "rip-off" are fans, and we all know what experts they can be. The idea that Blizzard should make an ad basically confirming these fools' false belief is absurd. Anyway, such an ad would have to be either an official tie-in -- and why would Blizzard or Dreamworks want that? -- or it would have to be the kind of thing that would invite a legitimate lawsuit.

You missed a key word in there. I said "every other parody song ad ever made." In other words, commercials where they changed song lyrics to make them all about the product.

At least on the internet, you never have to hit the "play" button. Look back just at the early pages of this thread. So many bad ads, all out there on the 'net forever. How many of them have you given even a moment's thought to in the months since?

Dammit. Edited that sentence too many times. It should've been they know they're not going to get sued.

Meh. As far as making the words fit the song go, I'd still say it's worse.

Apparently you've never been to a video streaming site where they randomly inject commercials at the beginning of the videos you meant to see.

AdBlock wouldn't work here. It would block both the things you do want to see and the ones you don't, since they come from the same place.

Funny. Because it kills the "commericals" on TGWTG.com and The Escapist just fine, 90% of the time.
Or at least the Firefox version does (The Chrome version is ass).

What does that have to do with anything? The only thing those have in common with the Kohl's spot being online "forever" is that they're all on the internet. Those ads aren't all that random. They appear because sponsors are paying the streamers to run them, and when a sponsor wants an ad to stop (or simply stops paying for it), it doesn't appear anymore. It's really just like television advertising in that way.
But look at the video above. It's not there as an ad; Kohl's didn't put it up.* It's there as part of the great YouTube sideshow, a freak to amuse the masses until they move on to the next. That it may once have been used to advertise something has ceased to matter. And just like all the other freaks, viewing it is voluntary. You don't want to hear the song, don't play it. Soon, we'll all be complaining about something else, and this will fade into a dim memory.
*See, I didn't forget. I just say it's not a point of commonality anymore.
