Ah, as for the whole gay people are awful! but they deserve rights! thing, I think that can be explained by his autism. He's obviously been told that being gay is Wrong, and he's just repeating it. However, he's also been told that everyone is equal and deserves Rights, so he's repeating that as well.

His comic is the work of a terrible artist and writer, not somebody with severe mental disabilities.
