The link.
And how did he kill it? By sticking it in a washing machine and turning the washing machine on.
Quote :
Police said after he stole video games, cash and a laptop computer from Kimberly Ross' home on Beaconsfield on Monday, [Ty-Shawn] Bost placed the kitten, Ruby, into a front-loading washing machine and turned it on, killing her.
Ross and her daughter, Lacey, 13, returned home just before 11 p.m. that night and heard a "clunking sound" coming from the washing machine. Ruby was found lifeless, spinning around inside.
The only good thing about this? They were out of the house when the robbery took place. I shudder to think what a man who would so cruelly and senselessly kill a virtually defenseless (well, except for claws and teeth, but come on) little animal might do to this mother and her daughter, if he had had the chance.
Quote :
The 19-year-old is being held in the department jail pending an arraignment at 1 p.m. today on felony charges of second-degree home invasion and killing and torturing an animal. The offenses could land him in prison for up to 15 years.
Please, please do. The thought of home invasion has always terrified and angered me, but what this man did was even worse.

I hope this guy gets all fifteen years. Even better, I would like to see him share a cell with a PETA activist.

How could you do that to a PETA activist? Neither of them would get any sleep for the whole fifteen years.

The irony: that clip depicts an animal lover who was hurt for no reason by a sadistic cat.

What a fucking asshole. Is it weird that I'm almost willing to forget the burgling aspect of this deal, but would be very much in favor of pelting him with rocks/sticking HIM into an industrial-size washer for killing a kitten just because it was "bothering" him?
They're TINY. With TINY claws and teeth. If it's still very young, it's not even going to be particularly fast. HOW MUCH CAN A MOTHERFUCKING BABY ANIMAL BOTHER YOU, EVEN IF YOU'RE BURGLING A HOUSE! PUT IT THE FUCK IN ANOTHER ROOM AND DO WHATEVER THE FUCK IT IS YOU FEEL YOU HAVE TO DO, DON'T STICK IT IN A WASHER AND KILL IT, YOU MISERABLE EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN BEING!
There, I feel slightly better now.
*plans to cuddle her own kittehs extra lovingly tonight even if they don't want to be cuddled mwahaha*

On the one hand this is a quite nasty and fairly vindictive act of violence against a small creature that mostly defenceless that, despite being blown up a little bit by the cat lovers of the forum, is still pretty bad.
On the other hand I now have this song stuck in my head.

Maybe the guy had been traumatized by Hello Kitty.
If somebody pointed this on my head, I would be traumatized for the rest of my life as well.

I'd happily feed his hand to a wood-chipper. Followed by his head.

The sad thing is, it was probably "bothering" him by following him around the house, begging for attention, or wanting to play. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I don't really think anyone's blowing anything up. It's not just that he killed a random kitten -- it's that he invaded this family's house, stole their belongings, and for all intents and purposes, killed a member of their family (yeah, I know cats aren't people, but many folks do consider their pets as family members on some level). It's pretty much a total violation of this family's house and life, and it probably could have only been worse if he'd destroyed their house or killed a person.
I was thinking about it this morning and I think that he might very well have killed the daughter or the mother (or anyone else) if they had been there when the robbery took place. Think about it -- they might have 'annoyed' him enough, and they'd be able to possibly ID him. Somehow I have the feeling that this guy would probably silence a human witness as quickly as he made the decision to kill that kitten.

UNNECESSARY BOLDING!

Question! If he hadn't killed the kitten would that make this a partial violation of the families house and life?

Wait a minute, didn't you say say that kittehs is people to their owners? So by that logic it couldn't be worse could it?

That's conjecture,a very good police officer or scientist you would not make. To quote Holmes. 'The Facts Whatson, stick the facts'.

Or he could have just bolted as quickly as he could, thieves usually only lash out if their escape route is blocked which is why cases such as this are rare. Besides I doubt if it had happened like that it would have gotten anywhere near as much attention because it happens alot more frequently and no poor fluffy kitty died.

No, it still would be a horrible violation if he hadn't killed their cat, but the kitten-killing is like the rotten cherry on the shit sundae.

Most thieves might do that, but this guy didn't just grab stuff and run for it -- he was 'annoyed' enough by the cat to pause a few seconds or minutes from whatever he was doing, and dump it in the washer, and turn the washer on.
And to the owners, this cat was like a family member:

Okay then answer me this one, if no cat had died, if this had just been another burglary, would you care anywhere near as much unless you knew the victims?
