Being a furry does not automatically equate one with animal fucking. Though, I do find this article absolutely abhorrent. How does one even go about such a thing? Wouldn't the rabbits be, you know...to small for that sort of nincompoopery? Is that a fucking Zubat in your avatar? Clearly your a Pokephiliac bat fucker. Oh clearly you've found me out!

Chris-Chan is part of the reason why the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom keeps coming up in this thread.

| Relax, Zubat-dude. I can't speak for anyone else, but the general consensus does seem to be that furry = okay, drama = bad. I have furry friends, myself. If you continue to remain well-spoken and level-headed, I don't think anyone's gonna jump on you. Or at least they shouldn't.
Oh, and before you ask, Mikey isn't an anyone.

Chris-Chan is part of the reason why the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom keeps coming up in this thread. And I seem to be the other part. Sorry. Couldn't resist drawing a huge target on my body. Honestly though, Furries are people too. The main difference is that you can put the effort into good furry fanfiction and good furry fan-art, or you can just scribble down your furry fantasies with a quality reminiscent of cheap 80s animation, and expect people to admire them and you. Even if you're not natrually a good writer, it is still possible to tell whether you've put some damn effort into the fantasies you think are important enough to publish for the entire world to view. As for drawing, ANYBODY can be a good artist (although their subject matter may not be) but it still takes practice.

| Furries are a quite diverse bunch, because the definition of the "fandom" is so vague anyway. There's no body of "canon" for them to gravitate upon, all that puts them together is some degree of appreciation for art involving anthropomorphic animals (and you can muddy even that when the bestiality crowd shows up).
Re: Lola Bunny and Rouge: I think that Lola was just meant to evoke sexiness, to establish her role as Bugs' trophy girlfriend. I don't believe it was intended for her to seem actually sexy for the audience, unless the Space Jam producers were specifically catering to the furry public. Rouge's design fits with the "duplicitous seductress" cliché she embodied in Sonic Adventure 2. The rest is projection.

| I would have to agree with Exodia's Right Leg on this one (what a username!) I don't necessarily think that characters in the mainstream culture like Lola and Rouge are necessarily meant to be attractive to the audience, per say - but serve as an attraction to the characters. Now what way would be the best for the audience to understand the female character's attractiveness to her male counterpart? Take what the audience already understands to be sexy and apply it to girl character A. They say work with what you know. And most people understand that boobs/wide hips/long flowing locks = [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] material. But it's not necessarily for the audience to [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] to. | |

As long as it's fuzzy and cartoony, it's potential fetish fuel. Disney's Robin Hood is reputed as the movie that launched a million furries after all. Not to mention there's Care Bears porn out there.

Rouge's design fits with the "duplicitous seductress" cliché she embodied in Sonic Adventure 2. The rest is projection. The rest is that Rouge has a huge heart-shaped... well, let's face it, 'breastplate', Lola wears much tighter and more revealing clothes than any of the other members of the team, and both have much larger bosoms than had previously been featured in their fandom. Previous to Rouge, for example, the biggest we'd seen was 14 year old Amy who was just growing into her training bra.

It might as well have been Hartman Hips. Do you honestly think the folks at Sega care about catering to THAT part of the fandom? - Quote :

| Blah blah fursecution whine whine cry sob. ^ Average furry's reaction.
My reaction is that no, I don't fapfapfap to StarFox or Sonic, yes, I enjoy the characters and the games (Of course save for the new ones) and no, I don't dress like a fox and fuck others doing the same thing.
Here's the thing though: Unless asked or provoked, I don't show it. It's not your business what I like, it's mine. Even if I DID fap to that stuff, whose business would it be? Mine, right? Why do you WANT to know what I get off to, anyway?

| I'm going to fucking regret this later. I know it.
OKAY, WGW, I'm going to admit to being a "crazy" and believing in magic and auras and totemism and deities and all that. No, I'm NOT a new agey freako, and I don't stuff crystals up my ass or talk about "the age of Aquarius".
Speaking as someone who has a strong bond with a cat totem, I think the idea of cat/human hybrids is pretty darn cool. I like SFW "anthro" art, and even with some of the saner nude pieces, I can appreciate the aesthetic. When I first discovered the furry fandom, I went "OH HEY COOL" and proceeded to go wander around some fur sites. I found a variety of different furries hanging around, including:
-People who like the art -People who like the porn -People who believe they are actually cats/wolves/bats/whatever -Plushophiles and zoophiles and other generally creepy people -People who are WAY too touchy-feely and need to give me some motherfucking personal space before I have an aneurysm -People who are following this because it's 'trendy'
Obviously not everyone in the furry community is unreasonable and/or disturbing, but most of what I dug up was either artists whining about 'originality' and mixing together tons of different animals to make their own SPESHUL fursona (which seriously creeped me out) or pedophilic scatological plushophiles who like to wear collars and lick people's shoes whilst dressing up as furry characters and fondling everyone within a 10 foot radius (which set off about two hundred flashing red lights in my brain saying RUN THE FUCK AWAY). The one redeeming quality of these people was the fact that they're usually able to stop and laugh at themselves, though there's an abundance of people who will BAWWWW their brains out if you even suggest that furriness is silly. What was the point I was trying to make here? Oh, uh, yeah. There are a lot of crazy nutter people in the furry fandom, and though not all of them are out to yiff and hold cuddle parties and draw porn of gay anthropomorpic wolves raping each other with stick blenders, they seem to be the most active and the ones that get the most publicity. (oh, and, yeah, token PC message that your kinks don't define who you are. Unless you're into brutally torture-murdering people to death and masturbating on their bodies.)
