Aside from the one chick's big fat shota complex (which is played for laughs, I don't recall outright creepy touchies, although it's been a while since I've watched it), I thought it was rather fun. It has its share of bizarreness, but it's certainly not what I'd call godawful.

How has no one mentioned Popotan yet? I believe it's based off a hentai game, which helped inspire the Caramelldansen move. The story has three magic sisters who talk to plants in search of dandelions ("popotan") in it with their robot maid who live in a house that sells Christmas decorations 365 days a year which travels through space and time when a mysterious giant weed shows up and indicates it's time to move again. It also has a tiny ferret (?) which is the show's trademark Cute Thing, and the show itself is totally perverted--it can't go a minute or two without a bewbie or panty shot... even of the six year old girl.

So, Hetalia! If you look at the last page of this thread, you can observe an excellent example of the obliviousness of the show and its fandom when it comes to racism and the Holocaust. Now, the dub is on its way, and Funimation has decided to "make the show more offensive to appeal to a certain demographic." I don't know if they're intending to lampshade the show's stereotyping or trying to be a new South Park, but whatever they're doing... well, just check out this clip.
