I was always under the impression that it was done that way deliberately to troll people who take things too seriously. XD

Oh, Kitty, you and I both. Sometimes I get this vain, small hope that especially bad things, comically bad things, are done as a joke. D:

When it's that over-the-top and given what's-his-face's interview on that chick game with the overly-sexualized heroine, I'm thinking this was definitely tongue-in-cheek.

I must say, that video is the perfect example to CIIIIIITEEE! (Ciiiiiiteee~) (ciiiiiiteee~)
And I'm indifferent to DMC, as I haven't played/watched it before, and love plenty of cornball series myself. :B
Spoiler:
It is frustrating, however, when one of my friends tries to persuade me in to playing the game, with such comments as "You like GURREN LAGANN. You'll love DMC!"/"You like Hitman? Well, the lead character of DMC is much more of a badass!" [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I don't even like DMC (or Dante, I think he's annoying most of the time) that much. The anime is still a load of bullcrap that has none of what makes the game interesting, though.

I don't even know how to even explain this one. It's bad yet good yet...okay it's a trainwreck that I've come to love. It's like Evangelion. With dolphin and monkey brains. Also, psychotic crab-children and insectoid elephants.
And evil stick figures! Don't forget the evil stick figures.
Or Hinoki - who is basically Rei Ayanami with rainbow hair and a Magic Skirt.
But seriiously; how does a "bad anime" thread go on this long without someone mentioning Pilot Candidate. The damn thing sucked so hard, Cartoon Network not only didn't air the full 13 episodes, the basically gave it the "un-person" treatment after the initial run. And with good reason. The CGI was both horrible and horribly integrated, the characters were bland at best (leading up to Zero Enna - who is basically Ash Ketchum with his ADHD ramped up and his positive qualities overwritten with {a failed attempt at} hotblooded), the plot made little to no sense (and the plot holes didn't help) and there was gratuitious use of random catgirls.
Not to mention the most egregious case of "Bait and Switch Title Sequences" this side of Thundercats.

I watched about 30 seconds of that show. I remember a catgirl being embarrassed about her ears, the cap hiding them being knocked off, and changing the channel.

That show haunted me for years. I kept getting images of some guy with white hair and red eyes and a pink-haired catgirl. And thinking "All of that? In one show? Plus Mechas? The fuck was I watching?"
If I remember right, her ears were cat ears because she lost her ears as a child when her village was attacked (Or something like that) and all they had to replace them were cat ears...and you know what, when I write that out, I wonder how it got in. That show didn't make a lot of sense at all, actually.
I think I liked it too.

Candidate for Goddess. My god, I remember liking that, too! Heck, when they released the manga awhile back, I picked up most of them... and even that was boring and incomplete! (BTW, the catgirl? If I remember correctly, she got her ears because she fell out of a tree and busted up her hearing so bad that she grew cat ears just to replace them. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah...)
Anyway, for me? I'm a big Tenchi Muyo! fan. But, there's two series I've never enjoyed - Shin Tenchi Muyo!/Tenchi in Tokyo and Sasami: Magical Girls Club. TiT can be easily summarized as "the entire cast gets ADHD, lose most of the sci-fi stuff and ramp up the Monster of the Day and inane love shape plots". Magical Girls Club looks like it wants to be the next Pretty Sammy, but... I dunno. Just didn't catch my interest (especially when one scene has Sasami flying around of a VACUUM CLEANER)

I still haven't forgiven the people who were behind the Chrono Crusade anime. Yeah, I know the manga wasn't done when they started making it, but that doesn't excuse how horrible it got.
Sorcerous Stabber Orphen isn't very good. It was pretty obvious they didn't have much of a animation budget. The second season got even worse with the introduction of a canon sue, yet I still found some enjoyment out of the series, even if the characters were unbearable at times.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. She was also a BAAAAAWW-filled damsel in distress. Good lord, when was that girl not on the verge of tears.
I'm pretty sure you've all heard of Musashi Gundoh at some point. Basically the show's set in the Feudal era of Japan (not that this matters much). The titular character and his friends fight against these monsters and some Naraku-esque villain with a martial arts style that primarily uses...wait for it...guns.
The art quality is on par with Space Thunder Kids if not beyond. It has continuity problems out the ass; it's almost guaranteed at least one person per episode is going to have Amblyopia. It also has little to no concept of perspective, and unintentionally funny graphical effects. Such an awesomely terrible series. Also, the jokesub makes it even more awesome.

Here's a great example of a bad anime fandom for a mediocre anime
tl;dr: A bunch of dipshits dressed up as Germany for a photoshoot and thought it would be awesome to heil in public near a Holocaust memorial during passover.
Let that sink in.
Hetalia is okay at best and stupid at worst and it sure does attract some massive creepy, dumbass dipshits with zero respect for the material the show deals with, which is often serious shit, because OMG KAWAII BOYS BUTTSEX DESU~.

Good lord. I agree with that one commenter, though--they shouldn't have been heiling in public, period.
...I also just realized I know a couple of people that went to that con as Hetalia characters. I really hope none of them were idiot enough to do this.

Yeah, common decency should probably just cover the entire thing. I get quite upset by the behaviours of cosplayers sometimes. After all the horror stories I've encountered over the years it's a wonder I still go to cons and cosplay at all. Strangers coming out of nowhere to compliment your breasts (even in the most covered-up of cosplays) is just wrong, no matter what the location. And the whole 'dressing like a nazi' argument is something people need to consider about as well. I've heard too many times of stupid kids getting threatened because of bad cosplay choices.

What is truly the worst of it all is how completely contrived and bland everything is. I cannot express enough how little I care about anything that is going on outside of the small offensives and revulsions I feel in some of the show's "racier" moments. To be honest, not much bothers me but incest is a major squick of mine, and though I found out that they're merely step-siblings [that is established at the end of the episode], I can't help but feel uneasy at how they try to portray relation through the honorficis used throughout. YMMV though, I guess?
Anyway, Part 3. I'll be finishing this off tomorrow, and moving right onto ChuuBra for Saleha. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Anyway, here is the final part of the review. Apologies for the big delay.
