Chu-Bra's the one. From what I understand, it involves an underage underwear model setting up a club at school to help girls become comfortable with their body by wearing sexy underwear.

Okay, I agree about the DMC anime. I didn't make it past, like, the second episode or so. (But that's only what I think because jeez the show was so forgettable I can't even remember how much of it I watched.) Dante's voice was the sole good thing, pretty much.

But diss the games and so help me god I will have to satisfy myself with being mildly irritated at you as I have yet to learn how to punch people through the internet.

No, it's a ridiculously over-the-top game that involves, among other things, motorcycle swordsmanship. If you get a big fat boner for the ridiculous, maybe it's your cup of tea. It's a game for idiots to brag about to their friends ("I lasted THIS LONG in Dante Must Die, so my dick is 36" longer than yours!") and the protagonist is someone who no one can relate with because he's just too cool for school.

I mean, this is a game that makes you ridiculously powerful, but you still have to run around doing dumb stuff to open a door. And you're surprised the anime is boring?

Fuck yes, DMC. I watched all the episodes and loved them, especially the ones involving some form of imaginary rape, whether the victim was a policewoman or Tokyo Tower.

In my opinion, the sheer amount of swearing, screaming, humiliation and violence (real or imaginary) made it more over-the-top than Gurren Lagann, because DMC just involved normal everyday people who were simply fucked in the head.

Favourite episode was the one where, as the Prince, he forced his brother to study for the university entrance exam.

Have you seen the live action version? It's actually better than I thought it'd be, though the moral running through it was a bit bizarre.

TBH I did not watch the live version because I thought it would ruin the anime for me by sucking apocalyptically.

I watched it because a Japanese friend of mine was spazzing over it. Aside from the fact that motorcycle racing sensation and plot device Gerd looks exactly like a genetic mashup of Rex and Rudger Godwin (its the eyebrows); Blassreiter is excessively violent and has horrible CG despite being made in 2008. I only managed six episodes before I gave up on the plot, which has something to do with zombies and Germany being invaded by Angels from Evangelion.

There is a manga version of this anime. And it involves lots of bare tits and more excessive violence. I'm all for death, destruction and tits, but this series just seems like all flash and no substance

Although I did enjoy the scene of Gerd giggling while sobbing like a schoolgirl with a skinned knee over his girlfriend leaving him because his dick no longer works.

The whole damn thing was just a mess, really. Trying to combine every post-Eva "deep" anime cliche in the book with some of the most egregious amounts of SCIENCE I've ever seen was not a good idea in retrospect. I think I gave up trying to make sense of it right when the evil-mind-controlling-hairpiece-cult showed up.

The difference between Disgaea and DMC is that Disgaea's over-the-top stuff is firmly tongue-in-cheek, while DMC is all "PLEASE PLEASE LIKE OUR BADASS GUY PLEASE"
