| All mine are WWII movies so...I'll try not to rant.
Enemy at the Gates, whenever the fuck that came out.
I'm Jewish, so if I wanted the Nazi to win, that says something about HOW FUCKING ANNOYING and STUPID the Russians were. I ended up reading Zaitsev's autobiography and he was a pretty fucking badass guy and he was hilarious. He made fun of himself and everyone else, kicked Nazi ass, and generally was awesome. Jude Law sucked. I wanted to shoot Tanya in the face she was so idiotic. The inaccuracies were outrageous. Danilov was cool then he turned into a whiney sack of shit once Tanya slept with Vassili.
Only redeeming part? The Nazi guys death, even though HE WAS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER. Oh and when he shot that guy who was jumping across the break in the hallway. Impossible, but fucking awesome.
Valkyrie, oh Valkyrie. I'm going to say one thing about this movie...
WHERE. THE FUCK. WAS ROMMEL.
His role in the July 20th plot was debatable, but he was a freaking important person.
I won't even get into I.B because it has been discussed already and I can't remember much except the end. I ended up ranting anyway so sorry.

| It's been a while since I saw but Vassili and his friend whose name I believe was Nikolai were in a warehouse or an old house or something and his friend jumped across a break in the hallway or floor, and while he was jumping the nazi guy shot him. And it was a headshot. He'd have literally had to fire before the guy jumped to hit him. The friend was there for I thibk just that scene. He also jumped first to show the Nazi wasn't there, I think. | |

- I hate CR but I rarely get to rant about it. I know that children's cinema has a long history of successful animal snuff with a humans-are-evil vibe (see Bambi, Old Yeller, God only knows how many others), but that's no excuse for remaking Schindler's List. With claymation chickens. For kids. That movie was fucking disturbing and lacked the charm that made Bambi a classic.
Remaking Schindler's List? You're kidding? Have ye never seen any WWII POW movies? The Great Escape? Stalag 17? Even TV's Hogan's Heroes? Chicken Run was, quite intentionally, an homage to those sorts of films, not Schindler's List, and it definitely wasn't a remake.

| I just rented a movie called Adventures of a Teenage Dragon Slayer, and oh, my God, was it bad. I watched it for an hour, and saw not one dragon. The blue troll guy really got on my nerves, and when the gang of bad kids left a trail of snacks for him to follow, I said forget this and shut it off. I knew where it was going, and I didn't want to go there.

His role in the July 20th plot was debatable, but he was a freaking important person. THIS. Oh yeah, I thought there was something missing. When you have a Jewish guy rooting for the Nazis in a WWII film, the film-makers have done something wrong. The worst film of all time is that unspeakable Tarantino travesty (now we're on the subject), but The League of Extraordinary Gentlement (2003, I think) was pretty awful, too.

| I am updating my list because I agree with a previous post. That and I forgot about the Da Vinci Code. I am taking down two movies I actually did not see but I am standing by my reasons for leaving the Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons.
2000: Meet the Parents: I just never got into that series of movies. It's like most Jim Carey movies. You have to be a fan of that kind of humor.
2001: Jurrasic Park 3: I just did not care for it at all. First two movies were good and I enjoyed them. This just wasn't right.
2002: Halloween: Resurrection. Don't get me wrong. Halloween is my favorite series of horror movies but enough is enough. Good plot it's just that the series should have just ended with Halloween H2O.
2003: The Da Vinci Code: Just because I didn't see it, doesn't mean I can't dislike it. I'm Catholic. Why would I want to see a movie that is nothing but BS? I know it's fiction but Dan Brown actually believes what he wrote.
2004: Crash: I just hated the movie. I know it won best picture but I had a problem with all of the racism. Not my cup of tea.
2005: Batman Begins: I'm a huge Batman fan (see my signature) but I hated this movie! I didn't like the casting and I grew up on Batman and prefer the original introduction of Ra's Al Ghul.
2006: Talladega Nights: Not my kind of movie. I have no idea why I watched it. See my thoughts on Meet the Parents.
2007: Halloween: As I said before I love the Halloween series. I picked this movie because the original was so much better! You shouldn't mess with classics.
2008: Wall-E: I couldn't even finish the movie. The plot was just boring. I love kids movies I just didn't care for this one.
2009: Angels and Demons: I'm Catholic. Of course I hate this movie. My opinion of these movies is best described above under the Da Vinci Code.

I love how all of your reasons basically amount to: "I hate this movie and I don't want to give any coherent reason why."

2007: Atonement: Okay I tried to read the book but never saw the movie...usually the book is better then the movie so I figured this would count.
...You haven't even seen the movie? You can't say you hate a movie if you never saw it. That doesn't even make sense.

| No mentions for High School Musical? Were they actually not that bad, or just drowned out by the dreadfulness of other movies? | |

| 2005: The Covenant is pretty terrible. The effects are retarded looking, the story idiotic, and most of the cast emotes like a block of wood.

| ^ You could also make the argument that they are good-bad, depending on your tastes. If you squint ithe first one almost feels like a parody of highschool-cliques-as-presented-in-movies. I never saw the others though. | |

Yup. Opening on my birthday, no less. I'm torn: I cut my reader-ly teeth on Seuss, but movie versions have largely been... yeah. I'm willing to go see it and report back to WGW, if no one else wants to snark it first?
