The Something Bad Happened to Me Today Thread

Some dumb anarcho-ska band must be rolling through Philly soon because the crusties are here in force. The first one I came across smelled like cat pee and his pupils were super dilated so I'm sure he was on wet so that means these aren't the vegan boho crusties that are actually p. cool, these are those kinds of crusties. Which means for the next month they will be at every show in Philadelphia except for bar shows because they don't actually have money and when they show up they will....

#1 - be the worst smelling homeless people ever
#2 - be drunk or worse all the time
#3 - bring crack and/or heroin to every show they come to (which will be every show in the city, mind you)
#4 - try to start a fight at every show
#5 - take slam dancing way too far
#6 - bum rush the stage of every show and try to steal the microphone so they can blabber about anarcho-capitalism or whatever
#7 - try to insert their shitty acoustic powerviolence band into every show they come to
#8 - bring their naked kids to every show while they smoke crack
#9 - just generally be smelly, pimple-covered, white-guy-with-dreads nuisances covered in crappy pentagram and "Life sucs scumfuc" tattoos
and, #10 - the cops will follow them like stink on a warthog and generally not let anyone have any fun ever.

Someone knows what it's like to be Mikey.

Remember that new boyfriend I told you guys about a year ago? Well, we're done. I'm not incredibly broken up about it because I could see it coming a mile down the road, and I even wanted to break up, myself, but it still makes me sad. Also my other ex and I are no longer even friends and I still have a lot of bitterness about how things went down between us. Whatever.

So awhile ago I met this girl in a bar and we were just having an idle conversation about the Misfits when suddenly she tells me her dad used to pimp her out for cocaine money and that she has no friends because they all left her after she came out as bisexual. Well, since then I've run into her a couple times which means I'm pretty sure she lives near me and each time she tags along like a lost, unhappy puppy and no one has the heart to tell her "please go away". She wears her bleeding heart on her sleeve and I feel really bad for her because it must be awful to be one of those people who goes through life like that and it sounds like shits been really hard on her, y'know? She doesn't seem dangerous but she hits on everyone constantly in that really creepy, little girl kinda way that only victims of child sexual abuse seem to do and just generally seems slightly unhinged and needs therapy liek WAOH and makes everyone kinda uncomfortable.

Where was I? Oh yeah. She's on our couch right now after coming here, having a royal meltdown, and passing out because she says that she just had sex with a guy and started crying during it and got up and walked out on him and sex with men makes her feel so awful why oh why does this always happen why can't I be normal. The story was kind of incoherent. But the point is I have no idea whether I should call the police or not because I'm not sure if what she's describing is a crime or consensual sex gone bad because she's very troubled. I mean, she didn't seem to regard it as rape, it didn't seem like the sex itself was the problem but rather the mindfuckery it inadvertently caused but still, the sturm und drang I just witnessed knocked me for a loop.

I mean yeah, how much harm could just calling campus police really cause, but if I just fell asleep after being in the state I just saw her in the last thing I would want is cops waking me up. Plus, even if a crime did take place she got asked multiple times by myself and my roomies if we needed to call for any kind of help and she said "no" so.....

But still...... Jesus fucking Christ.

Well damn that sounds just terrible.

That... sucks doob, not sure you CAN do much except get treatment or help for her, I don't think it's the act but rather what's been ingrained into her, that y'know, her dad used her for cocaine money, gotta work with the root problems. Get her help doobs.

At least time it was an opposing player that hit me. He came into a ruck JUST a fraction lower than I was and I caught the crown of his head on my nose.

It's moreso than usual.

Though at this point I'm KIND of drunk (great way to treat head injuries btw) and I shoudl probably be in the Good Stuff thread because that's where drunk people go.

More annoying than bad- washing machine died. Of course it had to break right after it filled and with a large load of clothes in it. I had to spend most of last night and today hand rinsing everything and manually draining the drum. Said washing machine is 15-20 years old, so replacement parts are pretty much non-existent. Have to buy new washing machine.

I know being a homeowner is great but, at times like this, I really miss being able to call the landlord and letting him have to deal with it.

My computer crashed Wednesday so I had to wait for my laptop to be updated/working before I get could my internet back. Which is probably why I haven't been seen around for the last few days.

Though it looks like none of you missed me.

The saga of the washing machine continues. We bought a new washer and dryer set. We have to move the old set out of the bathroom and the new set in. However, for some reason, my husband's grandfather, who built the house, put a freakishly small door and doorway into the bathroom. We had to tear apart the door frame to get the washing machine out. In order to get the old dryer out, we have to do one of two things- either take the top of the dryer off or cut into the load bearing wall next to the door frame. Taking the dryer apart would be fairly easy. However, there is no way we can get the new dryer in the room. It's a few inches bigger then the old one.

So, as it stands right now, we are leaving the old dryer (thankfully it's still working) in the bathroom and will have the new washer hooked up where the old one originally was. The new dryer will be set in the back porch area. We had planned to move the washer and dryer out there sometime in the future. Looks like we will be doing sooner then we thought.

Forgot to mention our car hit a deer while on the way to college on Sunday. Everyone's fine, sans the car, and I even have a little video of it. Forgive the squeaky 12yr old voice.

I got banned from 4Chan for posting porn on a SFW board. I feel like this is a new low.

I also feel like anyone browsing 4Chan at work deserves to be fired and I'm doing their employer a favor.
