I know who Leslie was, but that's only because I have a friend who lives near Austin and my cousin lives there. never saw the man myself as I rarely went into Austin when visiting the area.

This one makes me sadder than any other death reported this year. I met Gerry on many occasions, and his creations filled and shaped my childhood imagination. I was, am and always will be an enormous fan of his. Miss you, Gerry.

I admit I thought he had died a few years ago. Admit it, most of you don't know who he is. But he was in some of my favorite movies growing up.

Most longevous Nobel Prize winner Rita Levi-Montalcini, age 103.

And Margherita Hack, 90, is refusing surgery for her cardiac condition, too. Seems I'm about to lose both my favourite heroines.

My first thought was "Didn't he die in 1998?" That was Harry Caray.

I hear a German newspaper tried to kill off George Bush, but he's out of ICU and seems to be doing better. I thought for sure he was not long for this world when he got that fever, but he's hanging on. I met him once, nice guy no matter what you think of his politcs.

She didn't want doggy to go to a shelter and be put to sleep a week later, having spent that time frantic and traumatised because the last time doggy saw master, master wouldn't wake up?
