Kashmiri girl fights off militants wanting to forcibly marry her

Apparently her and her brother attacked the militants with axes while they were beating up her parents, then she took the militant leader's gun and shot him repeatedly (although the reports I've read, mainly in the Indian online media, have differed a bit on some of the details).

Good for her, I say! I'm quite relieved to find she's still alive and kicking - it wouldn't have surprised me if other militants had tried to make an example of her.

I was afraid that would be the case myself. Good for her.
