With our luck there'll probably be a tsunami before bedtime...about the only problems Japan hasn't been subjected to lately are boils and plagues of locusts.

All of the teaching internships and exchange programs in Japan with ties to my university have been canceled... even the ones going on right now. A lot of students lost the tuition they paid, and there's no chance of getting sent back in the near future, or for this year either.
