The thing about Harold Camping is that he's older than dirt. He's 89, which means there's a chance he'll get "called home" before May, saving him the embarrassment of yet another failed prediction. His WYFR shortwave station does do one good thing, acting as a rebroadcaster for Radio Taiwan International, the Taiwanese shortwave service.

I remember when I was still living in Brazil, the world was supposed to end sometime in May 1999. It rained buckets that day, and the light was all funny. Some people were seriously creeped out, but...nope, still here. It was a little disappointing, especially because I ended up having to take that maths test two days later after all.
