LiLo's Reps Claim She Wasn't Fired From "Inferno"

That river in Egypt is getting more crowded by the minute. In a masterpiece of revisionist history, Lindsay Lohan's PR staff is making the ridiculous assertion she wasn't canned from the cast of the Linda Lovelace biographical flick "Inferno". Fox News has all the lulzy details...

Director Matthew Wilder told the Hollywood Reporter that the issue ultimately came down to "the impossibility" of insuring her, in addition to “some other issues."

However, Lohan’s camp is upset with the reports that she was axed from the film amid insurance problems.

“It’s not fair in any way, shape, or form for those reports to be out there. Lindsay is 100 percent insurable, all she had to do was put up a fee as a bond then she would have been paid upon completion. I could insure her today,” Ethan Terra, a close Lohan family friend and co-owner of mom Dina’s production company, told Pop Tarts. “She was definitely not fired.”

Terra's claim is so patently bogus it would have had Richard Nixon saying "Liar, liar, pants on fire." Anyone who can read beyond a second-grade level can tell she was sacked like a week's worth of groceries.

Some B list celebrity may or may not have been canned by the producers of what was certainly going to be a shitty movie about some old porn star who was never attractive. If you actually care about this you need to kill yourself. This isn't shockingly bad, this isn't even frustratingly unpleasant. It's not news, it's not even interesting.

The fact that LiLo's reps could make such a patently false claim with a straight face is a perfect illustration of the Lohan camp's inability to acknowledge or deal with the truth of the radioactive wasteland Lindsay has made of her career and her life. Nothing short of divine intervention or involuntary long-term psychiatric hospitalization is going to drag her out of that cocoon of self-deception she's locked herself in for the past decade or so. I'm sure I can't be the only person in the Western Hemisphere who sees her fatally OD'ing or committing suicide before the age of 30.

To be honest, when I first read the thread title, I thought it was about Lilo from "Lilo & Stitch". I care more about an animated character than about Lohan, who is presumably a real person (though I still have my doubts).
