I always liked the idea that V for Vendetta WAS the Watchmen sequel. Of course, the V movie was even worse than the Watchmen one, so. . .

I liked the V movie because Evey wasn't retarded.

Because a character must make the same impression on every single person, no room for personal view point at all. I mean, it's just like real life isn't it? Every person you've met has viewed you exactly the same haven't they? Okay, fair enough. It's been awhile since I read the graphic novel, but knowing Moore's politics and having seen the snark for Lost Girls since then kinda made me suspicious of why he chose to characterize Evey in certain ways.
