Kinda defeats the purpose of a service designed to get rid of things like Cutie Pie there.

The one that annoys me is the jewelry commercial (not sure if it's Reed or Kay) where a white, wholesome couple are all alone in a cabin in the woods while a thunderstorm is raging. The woman gets scared and turns into the guy's arms to hide. The man then gives her a diamond necklace. Here, this sparkly thing will distract you because you're a woman.
And frankly, it's like a bad horror movie set-up. You just know the police are going to find the woman's mangled body in the woods, with that necklace on.
That is the first thing I thought when I saw it too. Another Jewelry commercial like that involves this guy taking her to places they've been before and asking her to identifying. Finally they stop someplace and she says "I don't remember this place." To which he responds "You Will." He then drops to his knees and shows her the ring, but to be honest, the way he said it sounded so menacing that I actually expected him to stab her and say something like "Or maybe you wont. Muahahaha!"

The Dump commercial is weird simply because of how they say "dump."

The Pepsi commercial that is one long string of stereotypes.
This one. Even the guy, who usually laughs at shit that's a little sexist was going: e____e Not cool.

I love the Snickers lady from the halloween commercial.
Snickers. LOL.
My favorite commercial is the Pepsi Max when the wife accidentally beans the blond jogger with the can of soda.
My least favorite commercials are the Ped Egg commercials.

Just out of curiosity, why would they name a furniture store "The Dump"?

Because the main furniture sellers 'dump' their overstock on 'The Dump'.

They wouldn't do it in Britain. "Dump" has connotations in Britain. I thought it had in the States, too.

"Connotations"? The dump is the place to dump your large household waste items. Or the act of defecating. Or breaking up with someone. So the name implies that they are selling you garbage, human waste, or loneliness and shame. Possibly all three at once.

The advert type I hate most is adverts for men's perfume/body spray/whatever. It always gives the connotation that a little perfume is all it takes to get hundreds of women interested in you, like you're a magnet for chicks. Like women are that weak-willed or that stupid or something.

I had pretty much the opposite reactions to these two Pepsi Max commercials. The "First Date" one is pretty stereotypical, but the punchline is funny enough to redeem it. The "Love Hurts" one, though, is a repeated exercise in "Abuse Is Okay When It's Female-on-Male" (trope NOT linked). A woman kicks her husband, shoves his face into a pie, sticks soap in his mouth, and hurls a can at him. The joke, such as it is, comes when the last misses, and she beans the jogger instead.

If you think the actual aired commercials are bad, you should have seen the early experimental versions we had to show at the marketing-research office. Example: one was set in a supermarket, where for some reason Dick Clark (whose health was still good then) was pushing Axe deodorant body spray. A gorgeous blonde woman comes up to him, breathless and practically writhing with lust.
WOMAN: Is it true that Axe Body Spray makes women do ... strange things?
Clark assures her that it does no such thing, and demonstrates on a cardboard stand-up model how the product is to be used: just a few sprays "under the arms and across the chest". Still in the tones of a desperate woman, she says, "Thank you. Um, do you have any ... bananas?"
Another:
INTERIOR: Apartment. Guy 1, young, white, tall, well-built, good-looking, is getting dressed for the day. As part of his morning routine he shpritzes himself with The Sponsor's Product.
INTERIOR: Another apartment. Guy 2, young, white, shorter, very ordinary and more than a bit nebbishy, is similarly getting dressed -- but he does not use The Product.
INTERIOR: Office building hallway: the two guys pass each other. Guy 1 very briefly bumps into Guy 2, proceeds off camera and is never seen again. Guy 2 gets into an elevator with Woman 1, who can be characterized as "supermodel dressed as horny business executive": tall and gorgeous with short tight skirt, hair around her shoulders, briefcase.
INTERIOR: Elevator. The door closes. Woman 1 sniffs the air very slightly, glances at Guy 2, then gives him a longer look. He realizes this and is a little baffled. She steps a bit closer to him, licking her lips.
INTERIOR: Hallway. Elevator door opens and Woman 1 steps out, looking very slightly dishevelled but satisfied.
INTERIOR: Elevator. Guy 2 is standing, dazed but smiling, with his hair rumpled, his shirt unbuttoned and pulled out of his trousers. Clearly Woman 1 has -- uncontrollably aroused by the scent of The Sponsor's Product that rubbed off on him when he bumped into Guy 1 -- had her way with him between floors in the elevator. Before he can even start to button his shirt, Woman 2 -- similar to Woman 1 but with a different color hair -- steps onto the elevator. She glances at him, sniffs the air slightly, and steps a little closer.

Anyone seen those Clarol Nice N Easy hair dye ads? The ones where this blonde chick pops out of thin air to instantly help turn dull hair into fab hair? I swear, that woman is so perky it's like she had way too many cans of Red Bull.

I am. Me and my BFF get all sorts of excited deciding on our latest color scheme (Pink with gold glitter for me right now, this brown that matches her eyes perfectly with purple curls for her) and planning our seasonal wardrobes around the new color, trading make-up to match the new color, being thrilled over looking new...
...Sometimes I realize how freakishly stereotypically girly I am.

On behalf of the state of Minnesota, I wish to apoloize for giving that damn duck a new voice. (Yes...the new voicer is from my home state.)
