| 12349 by Open Office's account, and surprisingly the Nano countbot only took off about 20.
Haven't seen anyone of the first-week 50ks on the forums yet, maybe everyone is just more honest this year.

| I recall there being one of us, either during the last times of GAFF or at the House, who claimed to have written over 100,000 or something words during the first week. Does anyone remember who that was? All I remember about the possible date is that Winterfox was still active back then because she got into a discussion with this person. | |

| Eh, 3070 words today. Not a brilliant start, but not bad either considering I've been awake for far too long. | |

I remember her. I feel like she had Kate in her name, either here or on NaNo. Kateness? Kateblack? Something like that.

| I just reached 10K. And there's still time to write today! I don't know whether to aim for 12K or go big and go for 15K+. Decisions, decisions. | |

| Up to 7281, which isn't bad, since that push got me 4K words. It's not so bad yet, although slightly boring. Not pretentious at all. Yet. A sort of plot twist occurred to me... two really, and I put them both in. Tomorrow will be a busy night at work so I don't know how much I'll get written. I think I'll be happy with another 3K, as that will just about have caught me up to where I need to be.
EDIT: Correction. 7798 down. The more the better because of the aforementioned busy-ness at work tomorrow night.

| 6,773; I'm about a day behind since yesterday exhausted me into not writing. I finally finished the scene that was hanging me up, though. Surely the first of many. | |

| 15, 251, although at this point I'm also split between two different stories. While there isn't a rule against multiple plots, I'd feel like it would be a bigger accomplishment to get one of them to 50k on its own. | |

| 20,100 here, but I've pretty much decided that I'm going to aim for 75-100K this year. I want to write a full novel for once, and that's supposedly 300-400 pages in the publishing world. Also, did anyone else see that one poster in the forums that reached over 444K by day 4? They're in the 50K shoutouts. | |

| 14,408. I briefly flirted with the idea of doing multiple books, but a little more than 2,000 words per day is about all I can do. Fatigue is beginning to show, since my characters are developing a slight but noticeable tendency to repeat themselves. However, I've about set up the main conflict, so I can intro the Horseman soon and crank up for flaming eyeballs and highway chases.
And yeah, it's still a romance. I don't know what's going on any more.

| 8,604 now. Still behind, inching up on the quota though. Sort of surprised I'm still going; this is officially the longest fic I've ever written, now. | |

| I'm at 25,292 words. My fingers hurt and I think this isn't young adult anymore - there is officially lesbian sex. Stupid dirty mind... | |

We're about even - I'm just under 8,600 at the moment. A little implied fem/fem, which is probably the first time I've ever written anything vaguely romantic into a story.

| I really want to read what other people have written. I do so hope people take the opportunity here to get both concrit and compliments and post their stories. :D
EDIT: Also, up to 14,314 words, but I think I'm growing bored with the first part of my book as I seem to be running myself sort of around in circles. Also, describing being sick is hard for some reason.. probably because I don't get sick very often. Blergh.

| 10,287. Haven't made up that lost day yet, but holy shit, I've written over 10,000 words of something! That's double the longest fic I'd ever written before this. It's kind of an awesome feeling. I'm excited to read everyone's stories, too! But I don't really want to post any of mine until I've finished and had a chance to edit; it's a murder-mystery, so proper foreshadowing is really important, and that's kind of hard to do when you don't know exactly what's coming next | |

| 30,075. I've had to ret con about three times now, because my characters tell me stuff that they are doing to advance the plot. A story that was supposed to be a simple "rescue and confront" has turned into something where there is a war brewing and a plot to overthrow a queen. Also, the aforementioned lesbian sex.
But at least I don't feel like killing any of the little buggers yet. That's a good thing, right?

| Sure! I've killed one minor character so far, had another major character get into a car accident, and I'm totally planning on blowing another character away tonight... at least I hope tonight. I'm watching "Til Death Do Us Part" and chuckling madly at John Waters.
Although, I had some insight into a couple scenes that are upcoming, and I know how the book is ending now, even the last couple of lines. I really enjoy a story that comes together like that.
EDIT: Up to 17,789, although I won't be writing for the next couple of days. It'll give me a chance to stop and figure out where I want to go from here, or rather how I get to the next big plot point from where I'm leaving off.

| 29505. But I've got major papers to write this week, so I used my time in the first week to blast ahead so I could slow back when other obligations took me away from writing.
Basically writing a love story between demons. The guy of just presented the girl with an already skinned, already gutted, headless squirrel carcass for a gift. She loved it.

| Completely stalled out yesterday and wrote an entire sentence, but hit 20k today. Woo!
Is it silly that I've been waiting for Black Ops for a month, but news of the launch going off terribly makes me think, "Hmm, well, if it's not playable, 'nother full day for Nano..."
