NaNoWriMo 2010

Day one, and I have managed to crap out 2012 words, which is quite enough.

I have no plan, just a sort of vague idea. So far the characters seem to be creating themselves quite nicely.

I'm at 4461 right now. Too tired at midnight, but I got up at 6:30 and banged out a bunch of words for a few hours.
Shooting for 7K, but I don't know if I'll make it. Even 6200 would be my personal best for Day One.

And the site is exhibiting its usual opening day wonkiness.

I'm wondering if we should all make threads about our stories in here. Might keep interest up to be able to blab about them (and maybe it'd keep me from BLAHBLAHBLAH-ing all over the chatbox )

2291 so far, but I'm still hard at work and there's a kick-off/write-in I'll be at shortly. Beats my '08 showing, where I barely made the quota for the day. But yeah, the NaNo site has been getting hammered all day. Hopefully they'll get that worked out shortly.

3005 words today. I was planning on writing the story in Third Person Limited... however when I put my fingers in the keyboard, the story wrote itself as First Person. I suppose I'll go with that.

2,000 here. I figure that I'll write more later, though. It's so much easier to write at night.

It's sad that the site always craps out in the beginning. Not surprising, but sad.

This is my first year doing NaNoWriMo. (This is also my first post. Yay for de-lurking after years of being in the community)

I had a few ideas all year long but none of them seemed right so I just started typing at midnight. I have a vampire hunter story with a post-apocalyptic feel. I had the characters at least...just a bunch of RP characters turned normal. I'm a little over 2000 words in on day one.

Done for the night, at 2,659 words. Stupid, stupid words. But they're there!

1,733 for me. Not bad for openers.

None for me, as I'm not taking part, but I'm really excited to see things kicking off now. Good luck, guys!

Ended up with 4,516 before I konked out last night.

Haven't touched it yet. Since I'm working nights, I'm only going to be writing it at work (unless I fall terrifically behind) like I've done in previous years. Of course, I start off with 3 days off in November... so if anyone else feels horribly behind, I haven't even started yet.

Wrote 922 words tonight -- halfway through another scene -- to make it to 3,581. Still hovering right around "on track."

3,463. If I maintain this pace, I should be okay.

3, 749 and already thoroughly exploring the first main plot point. Happy with where it's going thus far.

6,005 WORDS BITCHES!

I'm so happy, this might be the first year that I get close to the goal.

Got inspired and did tomorrow's allotment today, but I won't upload it until after midnight so it'll register on the right day. This brings me to 8337.

Best thing about doing paranormal romance for this? Gratuitous sex scene, baby! Eats up the words like nobody's business.
