Kansas City Chief kills girlfriend, drives to team complex, kills self.

When police arrived on the scene, Belcher turned, walked about 30 feet west toward an empty parking lot, pulled the trigger and took his life.

From what other reports are saying, the incident that sparked this confrontation was the girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins, staying out late to attend a Trey Songz concert.

The couple had a three-month old daughter together. Just a tragedy all around.

The gun BS is halfway down. The first half of the article his him talking about his equally retarded position that the Queefs shouldn't have played Sunday.

First, you can't put a $1.6 billion league on hold because a mediocre linebacker shot himself. It's just another line for the injury report. If we postpone the Chiefs game (and play it WHEN, exactly? This isn't baseball, the NFL doesn't do doubleheaders) because some guy has a bullet would, we'd have to postpone Steeler games until Ben's goddamn ribs heal.

What Kevin here doesn't seem to realize is that Belcher doesn't need a gun. He was a very strong, very athletic inebriated, unstable man. It doesn't matter what he comes at a girl who most likely possesses zero athleticism and zero clue how to defend herself, he's going to kill her. He doesn't need a gun, he could do it easily with a knife, a blunt object, or his bare hands.

The only thing adding guns to the equation does is give her a chance to defend herself, because possessing a firearm is the ONLY way she makes it out alive, regardless of what Belcher armed himself with.

Somehow I get the feeling Kevin was feeling jealous that everyone was beginning to think that Jemele Hill was the most useless, race baiting hack job reporter without a fucking clue in sports, and tried to remedy the situation.

Belcher shot that woman nine times. That kind of rage doesn't originate with a weapon nor does it dissipate with the lack of one. He was looking to kill and he just happened to have a gun. Anyone wants to tell me he wouldn't have grabbed a knife or just beat her to death at that point, I'll call you a fool to your face.

And while we're on the subject, three questions to those out there who are on the gun control tip:

1. What new or more strongly enforced law is there that would've prevented this tragedy? Belcher owned the gun legally. It was bought and registered properly and there was nothing on his record that would've disqualified him from ownership. Oh and let's be realistic the wet dream/worst nightmare scenario of a gun ban? Never. Going. To. Happen.
   
2. If, as Whitlock implies, the culture of "guns as accessories"/"guns as bling" culture is the major factor in this tragedy, how will more laws change that? We've seen that movie before: it was titled The 18th Amendment.
   
3. Where was this outrage about guns (or domestic violence) when Steve McNair was murdered?

Not to sound unduly morbid, but one other possible scenario here is that of strangulation. With his strength and the state of pure blind anger he was in right before the murder, it wouldn't have been all that hard for Belcher to choke the life out of Kasandra Perkins.
