Space Wizards. But then who uplifted the Space Wizards and showed them the way? Time-traveling Nazis.

| And who uplifted the time-travelling Nazi's, you may ask?
WE DID! Time paradox ahoy!
I don't know what channel shows Most Haunted in the US, (or if, in fact, you've miraculously stayed clear of this tripe), but it's the most contrived rubbish in the world.
Yvette Fielding and some bloke who claims to be a psychic medium, go somewhere and sense it during the day. At night they go back and get spooked by their own generated hysteria. Since they are in pitch dark, (it's shot in night vision), they can't see anything so get more and more spooked by everything!
Best one was in a military warehouse, once used by pilots in WWII. It was a large space, (as warehouses tend to be), covered with a corrigated tin roof. Super medium detects that young men may have died here, (wow, you think?). Moths shown flying around in evening light were then, apparently, protoplasm, seen on night vision. They keep hearing noises! It's scary because there's no explanation! Except maybe that the corrigated tin roof expanded during the heat of the day and is contracting with the cool of the night.
Oddly, my sig.other works in a TV studio where he worked with Yvette Fielding reediting the show for international release. He said she looked drained and was visibly scared of seeing the stuff she'd done. So maybe she's more cynically used than cynically using.

| Ancient Aliens was just on TV.
Episode's conspiracy theory: aliens went to Earth looking for gold.
Ancient Egypt had lots of gold. Was it because there happened to be more gold in Egypt than anywhere else? No, the Ancient Egyptians USED NUCLEAR FUSION TO TRANSFORM OTHER SUBSTANCES IN GOLD! And that's totes the origin of the Philosopher's Stone myth!
And my god there's the logic leaps arrrggghhh. The whole program is, beginning to end, using one of the crank rhetorical tactics I hate the most. Start with speculation, then immediately follow with conclusions, without going through the investigation. Which, any scientist (or anyone with a clue) knows, is the most important part.
Why don't those clowns dare say that Europe had lots of silver and iron because aliens? Iron changed the history of ancient times in a much more profound way than gold.

| Right... I see...
So Ancient Aliens with nuclear fusion created gold from something else, presumably something abundant. Which is why the Egyptians had so much gold. And I bet they made reference to the legend of alchemy that persisted well into the early modern period too. Cos that didn't come from nowhere, so it must've been aliens using nuclear fusion. By the way, is that possible? Even theoretically? Any chemists or physicists like to comment?
Can I instead propose that the Egyptians owned a giant, gold-shitting spider? That would also explain why they had so much gold. And when the spider died, their civilisation collapsed. Oh, and I actually have a degree in History from a real University. That probably makes me more qualified than anyone who made Ancient Aliens.

| Well, it is theoretically possible to create gold using nuclear fusion. The process happens naturally in stars AFAIK, hydrogen atoms fuse together with some neutrons and become helium. I think that's how the heavier elements are created, bigger and bigger atoms fusing together to make other elements, in, like supernovas and shit. But since we can't even replicated H + H + 2ne = He, it's highly unlikely thaOH MY GOD IT WAS CLEARLY ALIENS THAT'S THE PROOF RIGHT THERE | |

They're aliens, you fool. Given the proper plot device, they can do anything they want.

Yes, I did. | |

Yes, I did. Did they mention anything about ancient Millennium items used in Shadow Games as well?
