The Bible's got some serious mixed messages going on in there and a lot of Rules As Written vs. Rules As Intended arguments. I'll skip my usual laundry list of embarrassing Bible quotes to focus on the relevant bits, namely that there's nothing in the Bible that explicitly prevents lesbians from having sex with each other. Specifically lesbians; it says male/male sex is forbidden multiple times, prohibits incest, and does not allow marriage except between a man and a woman, but nowhere in the Bible does it explicitly condemn lesbian sex and only once is it mentioned that it is "against nature" (and it was said by Paul. Seriously, fuck that guy).

Not really sure why you're bringing up composition fallacy, though. Probably closer to a negative consequences fallacy (ie, "This is false because if it were true it would be terrible", the problem being that truth and/or reality does not give a shit whether it is palatable, only whether it is true).

Actually, the first I heard it coined was on the Daily Show. Since then, they will either refer to themselves as teabaggers to show that they don't care or some shit, or get pissed off if you call them that.

The thing is, the whole "Taxed Enough Already" (yes, TEA in Tea Party is an acronym for the movement) is that it's not supposed to be specific issue other than excessive taxation. Y'know, kinda like the whole Boston Tea Party was about (well, excessive and without representation).

It's just that it attracts every right-wing nutjob in the country, and we have a population explosion of the Common American Teabagger.

But the one that's making everyone nervous is the "Second Amendment Rally" on April 19th. They want folks to openly carry their firearms in Washington, D.C. You know, they say that they're gonna make sure no one's carrying loaded or illegal weapons. But, who's actually going to do the checking?

(Oh, and April 19th was not chosen at random. April 19th happens to be the day that the standoff with the Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas ended back in 1993. And on April 19th, 1995 the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City was bombed.)

I thought the Oklahoma City bombing itself was done on the 19th specifically to be on the anniversary of Waco.
