| In the future, I foresee that Disney will run out of folk tales to plunder and, in desperation, will start remaking classical literature. The Epic of Gilgamesh where Enkidu doesn't die, Gilgamesh wins the love of the pure and beautiful Ishtar, and everything ends in song and dance. Caesar's Gallic Wars, the heartwarming tale of a Roman soldier who meant to conquer a country full of nature-worshipping simple folk, but instead learned from them and gained the courage to return to Rome and overthrow the eeeeevil Pompey (who is probably voiced by a British actor with a throat infection). The Iliad--the free-spirited Princess Helen escapes from her tyrannical husband-to-be and flees to Troy, where she meets a handsome prince. The gods themselves fight to help her win her love and freedom! Beowulf, with Wiglaf as the humorous bearded sidekick and Beowulf himself as an Adonis who seeks the love of . . . o wait. | |

Again, this has already happened with Hercules. - Quote :

And everyone slams it before it's released for being an Avatar ripoff!

| -a movie about the Halo series, that gets the entire premise of the series completely wrong (S2-117 being a very metrosexual, introspective sort of everyman, for instance) -a Star Wars reboot on par with ST11. (Greedo shoots himself.) -Big Crunch: the Movie by Roland Emmerich ("We need to outrun the end of the universe!") -James Cameron Wanking off in 3-D Penorvision (Ebert 2.0: "If you see only one giant penis, make it this one") | |

| Hollywood will pick up on the myth of the Slenderman and instantly ruin it by making a movie called Slenderman starring Slendy himself in glorious CGI, destroying all the creeping horror in one fell swoop. | |

| Given Hollywood's obsession with remakes and reboots, I won't be surprised to see a new Watchmen film within 10 years. Starring Nick Jonas as The Comedian, Miley Cyrus as Silk Spectre, and Justin Bieber as Rorschach. | |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (Sorry if it's been posted before.) I bet Johnny Depp gets cast as Bernie in his most wackiest and most eccentric role yet.

| At what point do the remakes start becoming all self-aware and referencing other remakes of the same film? That might actually be interesting. Compared to watching grass grow, but interesting. | |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (Sorry if it's been posted before.) I don't even think I can compute this with his style. It's meant to be comedic funny, not Burton funny.

| This summer...
Michael Cera stars in
CHALLENGE OF THE GO-BOTS!
The full length CGI adventure based on something you probably watched once or twice and remember from when you were a kid.
Only now it has jokes about the robots defecating into each others mouths and smoking crack.

| Transformers: The completely CGI Movie. By somebody who realises that humans are only there because Transformers landed on Earth and some series (like Beast Wars) didn't even bother with that minor detail. | |

Wrong thread. You want "Movies We'll Never See Due To Lack Of Boobs And Heartwarming Family Drama". Assuming you mean a CGI Transformers movie with the budget of the live-action ones. A low-budget all-CGI Transformers movie made as a cash-in along the lines of Clone Wars doesn't seem all that unlikely.

| A movie version of Final Fantasy 7 entirely live-action. It will make a shit-ton of money and lead to the other 40 Final Fantasy games getting their own movies (There will be 40 FF titles by then.) | |
