I see no problem with those people. They are merely doing their part to improve the greater good.

Given the title, I really assumed you were going to link to the BNP. Instead, you link to their American friends. These people make me shudder.

I ended up on that site by accident via Google.

Trolling these loons is an exercise in frustration. Too subtle, and they will not notice, no matter how far you go. Otherwise, they'll assume you're a brown person out to get them. They're an unholy combination of paranoia and being utterly certain that they are right.

I have a colleague who claims that the BNP is a left wing racist party.

I can sort of see what he's getting at - it is true that its adherents are often people who would vote Labour in other circumstances. Like, them not being mad as badgers and them being pissed off with the Labour party.

Trent believed the BNP weren't doing enough for the white man (it's hard to be a white man, apparently) as they allow women into the party and don't do enough to vet the membership. He was a little rainbow of joy in our lives.

There's a whole web of these sorts of forums, all equally on the same level of shit and all thinking the others are too soft/liberal/whatever and they end up dividing by geographical locations. Kind of funny how they want white only whatever and yet they all hate the fuck out of each other.

I'm surprised it took this long as well. I'm also surprised that they're smart enough to actually be able to run a forum. I mean, they have that stupid Martin Luther King website, but actually interacting with people takes at least four brain cells.

That's exactly it. They are socialist, and therefore left wing in their book.

The problem is that otherwise normal conservatives in the US are sympathetic to the BNP because they don't understand what it really is. They think they just want to let people have guns again and stem out-of-control immigration, and border security something US right wingers are especially concerned about. Then they get all disappointed when they find out that the BNP is A: Just racist and B: supports policies they consider to be fascist encroachments on personal freedom, like, well, socialism.

To the extent that they have policies other than those on immigration/race, the BNP are economically left-wing, in the same way (no Godwin, it's relevant) the Nazis/National Socialists were left-wing, and socialist. They're the party of the worker, so long as he's white.

That's why the places where they gained the most ground are up here in the North, where people tend to be poorer and more economically left wing, plus super pissed with the Labour Party for abandoning their original socialist principles. Obviously most of their voters are also racist (either in the classic, hate-filled sense or in a misinformed 'righteous' way, believing all British Asians want Shariah law or something) but the socialist thing is important too.

The BNP would be about where the Nazis are, extremely Authoritarian and left of Labour and the Conservatives.

It goes back to medeival times.

1.) The Jews killed Jesus, doncha know. (Actually it was the Romans, but never let the facts get in the way of a good hate-on.)
2.) They were the early European bankers, so any economic downturn was naturally blamed on them. This was a self-fulfilling bit of paranoia whenever a country tried to expel the Jews; they inevitably kicked out the most competent money handlers, which resulted in further economic woes.

Pre-medieval, in fact. There's Greek and Roman texts talking about how horrible they thought the Jews were. Then again, in the ancient world, practically everyone hated everyone else, or at the very least considered them inferior.

Yeeeaaaah. Actually, in most places Jews were restricted in what jobs they were allowed to hold, money lender being one of them. To live off money lending, you have to ask interest. Asking interest from someone who's in enough trouble to need to borrow money does not make you popular.

So obviously, Jews were already unpopular, or their job options would not have been so restrictive. I don't know, but my money is on them being the only other religion of note in the area. People who did things in a fundamentally different way and ignored half the things Christians had presented to them as the ultimate truth. HOW IGNORANT IS THAT FFS
