Unless you're talking about Beast Wars, which is basically about the complexities of human psyche. Certainly the exception to the rule, but as I never cared for Gen 1 (I was JUST old enough to think of it as pure Narm, really,) Beast Wars is the only part of it that's Not Filler, as far as I'm concerned.

Nobody would be interested in Transformers if their psyches weren't close to identical to that of a human. This is also true of canon. The only thing really different was their understanding of organic stuff; even their culture is similar. People are kind of arrogant like that.

The Transformers, despite being giant alien robots, who in G1 were built to be appliances, suffer from the whole range of human emotions. Including love.

Actually, people have received plenty of help from this community before, even when their concepts were dangerously in "bad" territory. It's only the people who go on belligerently defending their badness that get insulted.

That doesn't mean they're necessarily human. A lot of sci-fi loses focus by simply making aliens into funny-looking humans.

It's funny that Penguin brought Galactica up. Galactica is almost like a good version of whatever it is your trying to do. It has rape and forced sex being used as a plot point, complete with tragic consequences no less, and one could view the Cylons' actions as being largely motivated by a desperate desire for someone to love them.

The difference is that the creators of that show set out to tell a story, and you really just want pointers on a masturbation fantasy. It's porn for Christ's sake. There's a reason why nobody assigns complex character motivations to the pizza delivery boy who accepts a blowjob instead of a tip.
