Stockholm Bullshit

Well, you know how people are always pulling off Stockholm Syndrome? "You kidnapped me and I love you!" and totally forget how rare it is and all the other things that are involved? Well, I was thinking there might be a different way to pull it off.

Yes, I'm using Transformers.

Basically, the Decepticons have won and Barricade takes Bumblebee as a sex slave - no, wait I haen't finished. At first of course, that's all Bumblebee is and he hates Barricade and Barricade is using him for sex. But I figured, nobody actually falls in love with the same person who kidnapped and raped them. I figured maybe it happened because they both change slightly. Bumblebee finds himself coming to enjoy Barricade's rough sex and Barricade finds himself becoming extremely protective of his pet.

The eventual goal was that Barricade comes to care for Bumblebee enough to offer him freedom (as in becoming a Decepticon) and Bumblebee changes enough to accept.

Does any of that sound slightly feasible? And if not, how can I make it more so?

Harley, dealing with Stockholm Syndrome, and mental illness in general, requires effort, research, and talent: Three things consistently missing from anything you write. In fact, I think that dealing with difficult subjects should never be attempted by anyone who changes their mind about being a furry and then decides that they are actually a robot.

For that matter, complexities of the human psyche should never really be explored with alien robots. It's fucking Transformers, not Battlestar Galactica.

You and Michael Bay can go sit in the corner until you find out what exactly a robot is, and then get back to us.

I don't think Harley suffers from a lack of imagination, so much as a lack of whimsy.

Most people, when confronted by the idea of an eon's long cosmic war between giant robots who can transform would perhaps be struck by the scope of the of the whole thing, the unimaginable weariness of such a long battle, and the enormity of the idea that our machines may not really be what we think they are.
