I have a sliding scale of sexualizing little girls. A lot of the Sexy Alice / Sexy Hatter / Sexy Queen comes from the Johnny Depp movie, where she is admittedly aged up quite a bit. For that I'd put it under "tacky" rather than "downright creepy".

That's not even a question. It's more of a general WTF statement about my confusion. Because see, I'm just so confused about how anyone can find anything sexy in a book that deals with a graphic and brutal rape/home invasion, and the subsequent torture and conditioning of the rapist. That's a special kind of kinky hat that should never be born. It's just such a complete "missing the point", it should be on the Trope page.

Did they read the book? Did they see the movie? I mean, the only thing I can really rationalize this with is that maybe the costume designer has only seen the iconic stills of the guy in costume and has only a vague idea of the plot. That's all I have, really. Because if I have to accept that there are people who read that book/see that film and think "Man, he was sexy,", I have to go kill some people and remove them from the gene pool, for being that damn stupid.
