Rob Liefield Hates Gay People

...or does he?

Evidently, as this blog says, Rob Liefield hates gay people because of his protests that Shatterstar is not gay.

Everyone say it with me: "Shatterstar is not gay." Actually, I've always thought he was pretty lame, and him being homosexual is one of the more interesting things they could have done with the character.

However. That being said, this is really just a lame attempt to bring up the bad Liefield drawings thread again. :D

Old, but still relevant. Just one more reason that Liefeld is an entitled douchenozzle.

That's life in the comics biz - unless you're Neil Gaiman, you can't say shit about what anybody does to your characters once you forfeit them to the company.

Peter David, who's currently writing X-Factor, basically told him the same thing.

Actually, I can't remember which writer it was that originally introduced the UST between Star and Rictor, but Marvel was originally going to have them come out. Then someone else took it over and the idea got back-burnered, though a lot of authors who write comic-based fanfic view them as being gay.

John Francis Moore, maybe (regular writer from #63-100) or maybe it was Jeph Loeb, his predecessor. I keep thinking it wasn't back in Fabian Nicieza's run, but he did write the 1999 Annual which featured Shatterstar and Richtor.

It's been years since I read any of those, though, so it's kind of fuzzy. I do remember the hints dropping years before they came "out". Just like I remember an issue of Alpha Flight where they just about admitted Northstar was gay, a good three or four years before the much-publicized issue where they made it official.

It was Jeph Loeb, I believe. The name strikes a chord, for some reason.

And I always thought having Northstar 'come out' was kind've redundant, since anyone who read Alpha Flight had figured out he was gay by issue three.

Based on how he draws, I figured Liefeld hates everyone.

You may be onto something there. He certainly fails badly at anatomy. His women all have DDDD breasts, 18" waists, and ankles about the width of a newborn's wrist. His men are all so hugely muscled it's a wonder they can move at all, and also have tiny ankles that couldn't possibly support their bodies.

Plus, he can't draw feet or hands to save his soul.

When he was younger, I would've said he desperately need to take anatomy classes, but since he's convinced he's God's gift to comics, it's too late now.

Well, that depends. Are those all boob, or does her entire upper torso sorta jut forward? A good deal of that is probably her collar bone.

That was more a sad individual trying to get some e-cred, and Liefeld actually came out looking like the better man.

He can't draw, and he's got a serious ego problem, but from everything I've heard, he's not that bad of a guy, when he can keep his ego in check, and doesn't let his mouth get away from him. He's at least decent to his fans, what few of them there are still. Which is leagues better than...like...McFarlane.

Anyway, back to the more important business of guessing the physics behind fucking Evangiline the Pretzel Lady, here. I assume most of her "cleavage" is actually her torso. If you look below her breasts and above her arms, you can see something that looks like little ribs. Riblets. Whatever.

Because of that, I assume that the midsection is extremely vulnerable. Missionary is obviously impossible, as is any positioning that requires any sort of flexibility. Maybe with her on top, but the weight imbalance is going to make it difficult for her to move in any sort of pleasing manner without literally toppling over.

I guess anal might be possible, but only if she's standing up in that same position, and you'd have to worry about accidentally breaking her in half.

Also, her shoulders are straight... which means her left side is grotesquely larger than her right side to almost humplike proportions. Except, the hump is her entire left side. O.o

Maybe if you lay her on her side and go in from that way?

Ideally, yes. But I'm still not sure where on that huge-ass waist line her vaginal opening actually would be. Her entire lower torso is basically all crotch. Who knows what kind of weirdness is going on down there?
