Why did they have to say "exploded" while discussing cholera?

Aside from that, words fail to describe the duplicity of the UN refusing to admit that their unnecessary peacekeeping operation has sickened over half a million people and killed ~8,000.

I think both have been known for longer than that.

That's funny, I found the story through the Dish yesterday. And I've been reading since late 2008 (just before the election, I believe).

The rejection was new, though.

Just because it is a story put up recently does not mean it isn't old news. NPR was reporting that UN Troops were responsible for the outbreaks of cholera a long time ago; a quick search of their site pulls up this confirming the UN as the source of the outbreak. That's back in May of last year, and there are older reports (that were not on the first page, so I'm too lazy to dig for them).

The rejection isn't particularly new. The UN has basically been going 'OH NO WEREN'T USSSSS' all along. All that's new is the added, "And even if it was, you can't do nothin'!!"

Still want these people having the final say over U.S. law?
