Doing some research for my dissertation, I need to find out about Mary Sue characters in the media outside of the Western world. Are Mary Sues given different names in other countries/cultures? Does anyone know of any examples of tv shows/films from countries other than the UK and US that have Mary Sue type characters?
It's not super important but it'd be a big help in rounding off my dissertation if anyone knows anything.
