Animation that made you realize cartoons also had genitals

I'm sure everyone knows the Heavy Metal and Fritz the Cat and how they're pretty much "Ye Olde Porn Toons." However, over the past few years I've totally taken to finding and consuming as much non-anime adult cartoons I could possibly get my hands on. Not to say I don't like Fritz of Heavy Metal as both are in my collection and I love them to pieces. Seriously, everyone should totally contribute! I'm always eager to find some that I may have overlooked.

Probably everyone knows Fritz the Cat, but I actually found Heavy Traffic to be both dirtier and containing worse writing... but I like it. I can't help it...

For those of us with ancient, dusty vaginas. Seriously, THE earliest adult cartoon that's available on youtube (that I know of anyways) Hard to say, considering this stuff is so old that some of it just flat out doesn't exist anymore given that they hadn't the foggiest on how to properly preserve film back in the day.

My favorite adult animated movie that also happens to be terribly written. Also, from Canada. This is the film that bankrupted Nelvana (Carebears and the animated Beatlejuice cartoon) and the original theatrical cut was mostly lost in a fire. Watch if you need 80s sci-fi, but also if you wanted to watch Goof Troop rated R. Seriously, great animation... just no direction and bad writing.

Jungle Burger (Also known as Tarzoon or Shame of the Jungle) was pretty much the holy grail of the local video shop when I was a youngun. Anyone able to rent the thing out was truely a man in our circle of friends.

I read once that the B&W Eveready Harton cartoon was done by the Disney Studio staff as a prank and the main character was actually based on good ol' Walt.

That was pretty fantastic >_< I watched the video clip before clicking the imdb link and I was like "That looks a lot like Don Martin from MAD Magazine" Come to find out it was Belgian (I think?) I also dig the ejaculate noise and wish that penises always sounded like that. I can't believe I managed to overlook this one!

Oh PUH-lease. Yeah, it's not porn as in you don't have a chick being run train on by an entire squadron of police officers, but it's still considered explicit. Plus, Ralph Bakshi, though crude and unable to manage time and money to have a more cohesive story, was literally the first to have a very diverse animation staff in the 70s and 80s, employing African Americans and women to work on these movies.

Er... wait. Are you talkin' about R. Crumb? I gotta say I hate his attitude... however, I like what he put out there. A lot of his comics are just littered with his insecurities, sexual fetishes, abrasive opinions, yadda yadda yadda... Kinda get an idea of who he is in his stuff. But you know, one of those situations where you totally dig the art, but absolutely hate the artist.

Felidae was great! Cat behavior mixed with crime noir! I'm hoping they put that on DVD at some point...

there was an animation/Real actionb film in the 80's that was ment for adults but I cant remember the title, about a writer who gets sucked into his work and is surrounded bu all the characters he created....its bugging me that I cant remember the title

Cool World, maybe? Never saw it, but I bought the comic book tie-in for some reason. Since I haven't read it since it came out, I've pretty much forgotten everything about it.

Man, my local video store has a whole load of vintage animated movies, Fire and Ice, Wizards, Ralph Bakshi's Lord of the Rings (Boy THAT was an abomination compared to Peter Jackson's, amirite?) and a bunch of others.

Hell, who remembers Rankin and Bass' The Hobbit?

Those vintage video stores are notorious for having older adult cartoons. There was this awesome video store over in Tacoma that would rent weird obscure cartoons like Fritz the Cat, Elm Chanted Forest, and an asston of old Beetlejuice cartoons.

Reepicheep and I watched Cool World recently (I hadn't seen it since I was, like, 8 and had HBO) Really early Brad Pitt... yeesh. The overall message of the movie was to not fuck a cartoon or the universe explodes. I actually hold quite a bit of sentimental value to the Bakshi LotR movies... probably why I didn't dig the Peter Jackson ones. Wasn't anything wrong with em', I just ain't a fan of excessive amounts of production value and whatnot. BUT, that's just me.

This one's got a great soundtrack and style, very desolate and lonely. Kind of like a Dali painting. It's adult oriented, but there isn't really anything explicit. There's some nudity I guess. Other than that, I think everyone should see it at least once. Pretty much humans are kept as pets by giant blue aliens.

Lol Cool World. Watching that movie was like putting together a Lego set with no instructions and half the parts missing.
