| Story here So, apparently Ceara Sturgis wore a tuxedo to prom at her Mississippi high school. The school didn't like that. They responded by refusing to post a picture of her in the yearbook. Cera and her mother, Veronica Rodriguez, got the ACLU involved. - Quote :
- The ACLU wrote an October letter demanding officials use Sturgis'
submitted photo in the yearbook, but Copiah County School District officials refused. Rodriguez said she expected the yearbook to at least contain a reference to her daughter on the senior page. What she discovered on Friday, when the yearbook came in, was that the school had refused to acknowledge her entirely.
"It's like she's nobody there, even though she's gone to school there for 12 years," Rodriguez said. "They mentioned none of her accolades, even though she's one of the smartest students there with wonderful grades. They've got kids in the book that have been busted for drugs. There's even a picture of one of the seniors who dropped out of school. "I don't get it. Ceara is a top student. Why would they do this to her?"

| And this is happening hot on the heels of the whole Itawamba Agricultural High School debacle. Are these people fucking daft to think they could get away with this? Oh, wait. Stay classy, Mississippi. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Edit: At least the other kids at the school aren't fucking douches: - Quote :
- "She basically grew up here, but she feels so isolated. And it's not the
students. The students love and accept her," Rodriguez said. "The kids even nominated her for prom queen, but she ducked out, knowing the officials would never let her be prom queen."

| You'd think with all the news on this right now that schools would want to keep away from getting even more attention. A girl in a tux is damn classy, it's terrible they refused to acknowledge her although they did for those other kids. | |

| Apparently, this whole thing originally went down last year, the book just didn't come out until now: - Quote :

There's even a picture of one of the seniors who dropped out of school. That's because there's nothing in the bible about abusing narcotics or staying in school.

| I have no words as to how sleezy and backward that school is.
On an unrelated note...Verandering's avatar is both painful and hilarious. Deadpool has explosively creamed himself at the sight of a woman's knee.
