Gay Student Cut From School Yearbook

So, apparently Ceara Sturgis wore a tuxedo to prom at her Mississippi high school. The school didn't like that. They responded by refusing to post a picture of her in the yearbook. Cera and her mother, Veronica Rodriguez, got the ACLU involved.

"It's like she's nobody there, even though she's gone to school there
for 12 years," Rodriguez said. "They mentioned none of her accolades,
even though she's one of the smartest students there with wonderful
grades. They've got kids in the book that have been busted for drugs.
There's even a picture of one of the seniors who dropped out of school.

"I don't get it. Ceara is a top student. Why would they do this to her?"

And this is happening hot on the heels of the whole Itawamba Agricultural High School debacle. Are these people fucking daft to think they could get away with this? Oh, wait.

You'd think with all the news on this right now that schools would want to keep away from getting even more attention. A girl in a tux is damn classy, it's terrible they refused to acknowledge her although they did for those other kids.
