If anything is infringing on our rights with this bullshit, it's good old fashioned American free-market capitalism, taking an enlightened self-interest in seizing your property, cutting you off from free speech, and branding you a criminal without so much as a warrant. The government's just being dragged along by it's purse-strings, as is usual.

By all means, write letters to your representatives, but it's not gonna do shit. Either advocacy groups are going to scream until this goes down in flames, or it's going to pass and cooler heads are going to realize that it's not enforceable.
