Something Good Happened To Me AGAIN

Went to Battleship Cove today and had a great time.  

Bought yet another game for my 3DS to add to the list of games I will get around to playing but never finish because I have nothing prioritized: Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright.

Got that game as well...and got the point before Chapter 5 where BOY did things take a dark turn.

I've had this long-running thing with cameras where the idea of getting my picture taken makes my skin crawl. Today the gf took a bunch of pretentious, faux-arty pictures of me marking this as the first time in years I've had pictures of myself that aren't semi-annual drunken shit laptop camera pics I felt obliged to take for social media purposes.

Comparing it to the last time I took a picture (drunk and with said shit laptop camera) about 2 years ago I see how much I've changed. I actually look like I give a fuck, and that's thrilling, to me.

After weeks of misscheduling and other assorted bullshittery, I finally got to play real snooker on a real snooker table

was terrible at it. almost all the pots were total flukes. first frame took my bro and me 50 minutes

I got the job I interviewed for! And it pays more than the one I have now!

Just got Borderlands - The Presequel.

Laughed ass off at the fact the game tries to dissuade you from playing as Claptrap.

Laughed ass off even more at seeing a younger Jack (before he became Handsome) refer to Claptrap as a "badass"!

Since moving out on my own, I've been cutting down on just about everything I buy.

This pay period I managed to save 40 bucks! WOOOOOOO!!!

Somebody made a podfic of one of my stories.

Someone liked my work so much they went to the trouble of recording themselves reading it out loud.

My cousin became a father for the first time last week. Little dude is healthy and totally adorable. Plus tonight my boss thanked me for staying late and said he appreciated it.

My nephew is here!

1.) Just had my last proper schoolday, at least for a while. Excited/horrified.
2.) I have time to read for pleasure again, and the first book I started is fucking fantastic.

After months of absence, I can see that things haven't really changed at all. That's my good thing for the day. It's great to be back.
