Pony Plot Perfection Project

I nearly said, Doobie, you better tell me you didn't know about this. But then I couldn't decide whether I'd be appalled that you hang out in places where you would learn about that, or that you know about hilarity like that and don't share it, and I couldn't make up my mind, so I didn't.

All the bronies I know went home and we never really talked about bronyism.

I don't think I want to. The more I talk to bronies about being a brony, the more weirdly sexualized the scene gets and that scares me.

Kind of like when I dove into the local punk and metal scenes only to find that it was ass-deep in casual racism, homophobia, and misogyny.

This whole thread makes a sick, twisted type of sense now. I think I'm happier that the 'plot hole' reference had to be explained to me than I'd be if I figured it out on my own. Ignorance my not be bliss, but it can be a comfort on occasion.

Me too, Doobs. Me too. Which is why I only hang with with the somewhat saner bronies and pegasisters on Everypony. Clopfics and other such things are generally avoided.

Unfortunately, this is what generally happens when you get a bunch of teenage (and older, in some cases, from what I understand) guys involved in a series that's basically intended for pre-teen girls. I seriously doubt your average 11-year-old girl, brushing her pony's hair, particularly cares whether the ponies have sex and make babies. They''re cute and brightly colored and can talk and have adventures.

Basically, any time adults get involved in a kids fandom, Rule 34 rears its ugly head and ruins things for everyone.

Friendship is Magic is a show with something for everyone. Even the haters! They just don't know it.

Frankly, this whole project doesn't represent the Brony community as a whole. Drawing anatomically-correct ponies is the last priority on a lot of artist's agenda. Y'know, the artists that draw for fun and show off some really awesome comic potential?
