The Associated Press is reporting that Whitney Houston has died at the age of 48.
Publicist Kristen Foster said that the causes of the singer's death are unknown.
Well, this is sad to say the least. Who wants to bet her death was drug related? Though, seriously wow this sucks! R.I.P. Whitney

And here's the link.
Quote :
Whitney Houston, who ruled as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, erratic behavior and a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown, has died. She was 48.
Thus far, the cause of death is unknown. I didn't realize she was so young--it seemed like she'd been around a lot longer.
She was a great singer when she was young, but she abused her body and lost her gift. What a sad end.

Steve Jobs syndrome.
"OH MY GOD, I KNEW HER! HER MUSIC WAS SO AWESOME! SHE WAS MY FAVOURITE! I LIKED HER BEFORE AND AFTER EVERYONE ELSE!"
The vomit.
Then, 1 week later, everyone Got Over It and forgot about her.
Fuck. This only proves how shallow and amnesiac teh collective internet is.

And yet you are here kvetching about other people kvetching. Keep it up and you might just tear a hole in the fabric of reality.
On topic, this falls into the "surprised, but not unexpected" category - she seemed to be on the rebound a little, but you can't live a life of booze and drugs without the damage finally catching up with you at some point.

This would be more sad if it wasn't so thoroughly unshocking.

What would happen if that happened?
I must attempt to find out. For science.
Anyway, some horrible jokes courtesy of /fit/. Remember, if you laugh, you're a very bad person and the world is probably better off without you. I laughed like hell

-News of Whitney Houston's death traveled with such speed. When I heard I couldn't help but crack up with emotion. She was a real heroin. Hearing of her death was such a blow to me. She really made a hash of things though. Her life just went to pot. Someone should have kept tabs on her.

Of course the EDL is jumping on it. Nothing like riding the publicity coattails over the death of an American singer to gain sympathy for a racist British cause.
I'm waiting for the WBC to announce they're picketing Houston's funeral so they can blame homosexuals.

I checked. It doesn't look like they've got anything planned yet, but it may take them a few days--I mean, Houston's funeral hasn't even been announced yet, right? They'll wait until that's out there.
And I think they'd probably do it, too; hell, they picketed Jeff Dunham's show. A funeral would be far more their style.

...How can the Black Hebrews be a Nazi cult? They're Jewish AND black.
Wait, is that the joke?
It's a joke isn't it.
I'm confused.

These people, and I use the term loosely, are a waste of oxygen and need to be wiped off the face of the planet immediately. Lady Anne mentioned the WBC in her last post here...well, the EDF is like the WBC on steroids. The sun may never have set on the British Empire, but it apparently set a long time ago on the mental development of the EDF's membership.

This is the Whitney I choose to remember. The one I think she would've eventually recaptured.

In a move that surprised no one, a seller on Etsy was hawking an 'I LOVE WHITNEY' iron-on t-shirt decal less than an hour after her death was announced. Thankfully, she was only charging $1.99 for it (she probably could have made more if she''d actually made the t-shirts, but that would have cut into her turnover time). I'll keep you posted, since I'm sure there will be a metric fuck-ton of Tragicrafting going on in the next couple of days..

... Or English, for that matter.
Along with the EDL's Jewish Division, he is part of the Jewish Task Force. A terrorist organisation banned in the US.
[edit] for a short while they had a Muslim Division. It consisted of one guy who was "not of adult equivalency" and was paraded along in a pretty vile case of "I've got a black friend".
The Sikh Division was set up in the shadow of former high-profile EDL spokesmoron Guramit Singh. He hasn't been seen since he was caught on camera saying “I f****** hate the Pakis”, which was shortly followed by an ultimatum to distance himself from the EDL or face excommunication from the Sikh faith for bringing it into disrepute.

It's because most of them don't know what a Nazi actually is. The majority understanding of it is that it's something political that is bad.
Some of the more politically adept of the mooks occasionally use Wikipedia to look it up. You can spot these people because they then proceed to replace their left-aimed insults of 'Commie' and 'Marxist' with 'Nazi' and argue that Hitler and the party were left wing.
Because 'National Socialist Party' has the word 'Socialist' in it, you see?

You know, I thought she was already dead.
What? I did.
So her death actually was a surprise to me. Then I remembered how many drugs she used, and it wasn't.
So, what is the deal with the EDL? Are they just crazy? They seem to have no idea what a good chunk of the terms they throw around actually mean in relation to real life. They just seem to sprinkle them in sentences like glitter on a Lisa Frank folder.

Authorities: Whitney Houston Found Underwater in Tub
Quote :
Whitney Houston was underwater and apparently unconscious when she was pulled from a Beverly Hills hotel bathtub, and she had prescription drugs in her room, authorities said Monday.
Quote :
Authorities said that there were no indications of foul play and no obvious signs of trauma on Houston's body but that it could be weeks before the coroner's office completes toxicology tests to establish the cause of death. The 48-year-old singer had struggled for years with cocaine, marijuana and pills, and her behavior had become erratic.
Houston was found underwater Saturday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel by a member of her staff about 3:30 p.m., hours before she was supposed to appear at a pre-Grammy Awards gala, police Lt. Mark Rosen said. She was pulled from the tub by members of her staff, and hotel security was promptly notified, Rosen said. She was pronounced dead about a half-hour later.
"As of right now, it's not a criminal investigation," Rosen said, refusing to release further details. "We have concluded our portion of the investigation at the hotel."

The fact that there were pills in her hotel room means nothing. Tell me what was in her system.
