I'm a complete and utter ass when it comes to music (and books, movies, television...), I'm afraid. I've got categories for "stuff that I like" and "stuff that's good". I can dislike stuff that's good and like stuff that sucks.

Skye Edwards's cover of "Feel Good Inc."

Don't get me wrong, Edwards. Love your music, and you're an amazing singer, but please. Just....no.

Meatloaf thought it was a good idea to remake Celine Dion's "It's all coming back to me now", earning him my eternal irritation. I had to cleanse myself by playing Celine's version on repeat for two weeks after hearing him and some woman murder a timeless classic.

And Celine Dion trampled all over the original Pandora's Box version.

Well...I don't know about that. Jim Steinman is a great song writer and a talented pianist, but he just can't sing very well. I liked both Celine Dion's and Meat Loaf's versions.

Since when is Jim Steinman a woman? Elaine Caswell was the vocalist on the original version.

My most disappointing one: Mariah Carey and Luther Vandross, "Endless Love". You would think those two would be able to knock a classic love ballad out of the park. Maybe they could have, if someone hadn't had the bright idea to turn them loose to try and make each other's heads explode with VOLUME!

It's like they thought "You know that part at the end where Diana Ross and Lionel Ritchie cut loose with the power notes? Wouldn't it be awesome if we sang the entire song like that?"

As for simply balls-out bad:

What the fuck is this shit.
I was half listening to that while watching TV at the same time, and my first thought was "Hey, this sounds kind of like that Depeche Mode sonOH MY GOD WHAT HAS SCIENCE DONE????"

I take it you're just as outraged as I am at that atrocity.

So does this mean she wants to be a personal Jesus? scratch

It seems that every hit has been butchered at one time or another.
It seems to me that Hillary Duff is covering up her lack of originality by trying to be so TEH SMECKSY... frankly, I find her as arousing as an accounting textbook.

Here's something new: A three-year-old singing along with The Dead Milkmen's "RC's Mom."

Spoiler:
