Counselors have told Johnston there's not much more they can do for him, yet he said the pain continues to gnaw at him. He said he'll donate anything he wins in the lawsuit to charity.

I ain't saying finding the rotten head of a rat in my beer wouldn't freak me the fuck out (so many infections/deseases to choose from it's not even funny), nor am I saying this ain't incredibly negligent of the company and quite simply fucking disgusting, but the article doesn't say if the guy got sick or not, and since they're only citing psychological damage in the lawsuit I'll assume he didn't (or was treated in time when he got himself to the ER [which I hope is what he did, inmediately]), so I do believe he's milking this thing for all it's worth.

I mean, how does not being able to eat out of a can or having to prepare your own food keep you from taking care of your dying father?

Also, the pain? Spare me the melodrama. He was a firefighter, he had to face much more dangerous, life-threatening situations on a daily basis and now he chooses to develope PTSD?

Oh, and charity? Seriously? STICK YOUR FINGERS IN MY MOUTH A LITTLE MOAR PLZ. Pffft.

On one hand, this man deserves some compensation for this. On the other hand, this man is a huge pussy.

Goaty brings up a good point. This is a man who made it a habit to run into burning buildings with a mutant garden hose. And he claims this is the first time he feared for his life?

I don't know, I'd rather eat the rat head over charging into a three alarm bonfire.

It reminds me of the time I found a piece of blue plastic in a sausage I was eating. I still think of blue plastic when I eat sausages, so I know he must have been terrified.

But sooner or later he's got to get over it.

Well for obvious reasons you can't use serious poisons to get rid of rats in places where food is being processed, so I wouldn't be surprised if the place was crawling with critters.

OTOH I'm inclined not to believe this guy. I can see how opening a bottle of beer is an action performed on autopilot, I can see how the label would block some of your visual, but still, a rat's head would be sooo easy to push down the neck of an opened bottle...

Also, BAAAAWWWW I could not be close to my poor poppa and then he died, woe is me, I would prefer small bills if that is not too much of an inconvenience please thx
