Proof positive that there is no length so far that some crazy fan won't go there. Couldn't he have just written some bad fanfic instead?

There has got be more to this, some history of being a crazy crazy man or something, or maybe there isn't and I just don't want to believe somebody can go from 0 to CHOP MUMMY UP FOR DOG FOOD in one sentence.

I'm with Cegem. If I were the gambling type I'd bet even money this Norwegian guy has more issues than the magazine rack at the Library of Congress. At the risk of belaboring the obvious, it sounds like things had been building to the point of an ugly confrontation long before the chainsaw murder and the book was just the straw that broke the camel's back.
