More additions to the Guyver Family

Just as LOTR has its 10th walkers, and Fantastic 4 occasionally becomes the Fantastic 5 (Bad example there, The Fantastic 4 often becomes the Fantastic 5, and on occasion the Fantastic 3… During Civil War (and with a few others) they became the Fantastic Complete and Utter Breakdown. But I digress…) The Guyver Fanfiction community has its 4th Guyver stories… Because Guyver 3 wasn’t enough of an overly-irritating, all-powerful, all knowing uber-baddass on his own.

So, why did I choose this fic to spork out of all the others? I think it just had to be the opening line:

A young man shoulder length, wavy, spiky, crimson-red hair was walking down the street towards the new junior high school he would be attending.

Well, that and the title:

Presenting The Quantum Guyver by Toku Warrior

We enter the fic as our Gary-Stu wanders down the street to school and demonstrates his awesomeness:

"MOVE AWAY! That man stole a purse and has a gun on him. Move before you get hurt," screamed the police officer.

The thief noticed the young man who appeared to look like he would be an easy person to use as a distraction. But before the thief had time to think of what he could do he went down with a large thud face-first into the pavement. The policeman was amazed at what just happened. No sooner had the thief looked at the young man, the young had flung his school brief case right into the guys feet, tripping him and causing him to fall face-first into the pavement. The police officer handcuffed the thief to a nearby street pole and then approached the young man.

"That was amazing. Reckless, but amazing none the less.

The officer, rather than questioning the lad, taking a statement and performing all the mundane tasks police officers have to do, he instead tells the kid that he is late for school and sends him on his way.

He does, at least, ask the boy’s name:

"I'm officer Yokikawa. May I ask you your name?" The officer asked nicely. He wanted to know the name of this young man so he could thank him properly.

"My name is Koujin Daniels, officer Yokikawa-san.

"So, you're a foreigner? Your Japanese is really good. I also noticed that you said your first name is Koujin. Sounds Japanese to me yet you're from America," Officer Yokikawa said as he looked at Koujins' crimson coloured eyes.

“Jeez, kid… Here, take some eyedrops.. Please! You’re freaking me out!”

From there Koujin was then escorted to his 1st period class and was introduced to his new classmates. A few of the girls thought he was very good looking and they made advancing looks at him which sent shivers down his spin as he didn't like forceful girls that much.

Of course…

His 1st period teacher then instructed him to sit next to a beautiful young girl with short, chin length silver hair and blue eyes. […]
"Hi, I'm Shiori. Shiori Okajima. I'm 14 but I'll be 15 in 3 weeks. It's nice to meet you," Shiori said politely to Koujin. She stared into his crimson-red eyes and saw something she never saw in anyone before.

“You know, I’ve got some eye-drops in my bag here…”

Over the course of the next 4 years

A few of the other girls had begun making quiet threats for the loss of a good catch before he was even openly available on the dating market.

Japanese schoolgirls suffer a long time delay in their application of bitchiness…

A whole load of characters are introduced, and then mysteriously removed by the evil Chronos Corporation, and we get a little foreshadowing monologue from some guy…

"Fools. That girl and her two friends belong to us now. The Okajima family had an ancient Guyver unit hidden on their property and told no one. As for her two friends, who would have guessed that they were descendents of the Ancient Zoalord race? Dr. Barcus is going to have fun experimenting on them. It'd be wise if you two just forgot about them."

Zoalords are made not born, and there are only 12 of them.

Even if they were born, there is no way in hell that they would not be working for Chrons, voluntarily or not.

Suejin and his friend Colin receive a letter that explains the Chronos conspiracy to a degree that even Chronos employees don’t understand, and that took an escaped Zoalord clone/test subject (Murakami) to explain to the group. Stunning even potential Zoalord & Guyver 3 Agito.

Even so, the author either makes stuff up in this letter, doesn’t understand the canon or is re-writing it to suit his own ends… You decide. The section of the fic dedicated to this letter is worth a roasting of its own, if only on purely canonic grounds, but it wouldn’t be funny, so I’ll leave it alone

Anyway… Back to the fic where the titular Quantum Guyver is finally mentioned:

The device they discovered was actually a dormant Guyver unit. Not just a regular one though. This dormant unit was a prototype unit.

T he Guyver units were standard equipment for the creators. It makes no sense that a sub-standard one would be left behind anywhere.
To be fair though, earlier versions of weapons tend to outshine current models constantly in Japanese fiction/Anime… Just look at Gundam.

The last of the auxiliary characters, Colin, disappears and we get:

4 Years Later

2006

The years had come and gone. X-Day had occurred and 3 months after it happened Koujin and his family moved back to America.

Presuming that the author is referring to the X-Day of the Church of the SubGenus, which is the only mention of X-Day I can find (It is evidently not a Guyver thing, I checked) it actually happened in 1996, 3 years before this fic began, 2006 would have been its 10th anniversary… Seriously, author, if you are gonna reference obscure culture, get it right!

However, looking back, having read a little further into the fic I think the Author is referring to X-Day as the time that Zoanoids reveal themselves to the world and stage a global coup.

Suejin takes a stroll and stumbles across a Chronos archeological dig:

Some of the Chronos soldiers were in their Zoanoid forms helping out with the dig.

In broad daylight? Not likely. However, after the Zoanoid coup this is not totally inconceivable.

Here’s a big chunk:

Inside one of the tents sat a young woman who looked like she in her late teens to her early twenties. She had short silver hair and sea-blue eyes. She was wearing a specially designed Chronos uniform. She was attending the dig in case the scientists found what they were looking for.

While she was sitting in the tent she took out a small locket from under her uniform and opened it up to reveal a picture of her sitting in the lap of a young man with red hair. A tear rolled down her check and she softly whispered, "Koujin." Just then, one of the soldiers burst into the tent and reported a finding.

How she hated having to work for Chronos. But she had no other option because they were holding her family hostage and even threatened to go after Koujin if she didn't obey them. Two years after being captured by Chronos she tried to escape with the dormant unit in hand. She was almost home free when one of the 12 Zoalords showed up and fired a blast at her. She had dodged out of the way in time but when she fell she accidentally activated the dormant unit becoming a Guyver. She woke up a few minutes later standing in front of the Zoalord that had attacked her, Caerleon. One of the council of then told her what happened to her and what would happen if she didn't obey them.

So this 4th Guyver fic actually has 5 Guyvers.

It’s mophin’ time!

Shiori shouted out "GUYVER!" A weird type of blast field enveloped her as high levels of energy surrounded her. The Guyver armor made its way from the boost dimension and wrapped itself around her body. A moment later, where Shiori once, there now stood a white female Guyver. Adorned with white external armor with the inner material of the armor giving off a black colour. She had power amps located in the same areas on her arms and legs as the Gigantic Guyver has. She had four high frequency swords, two on each arm. One set face forward and the other set located near the elbow region. Her outer armor had some strange blue and red band wrapping around it. Her eyes glowed a luminous pink colour as her control medal began to glow as if acknowledging it hosts' presence. Her face vents then expelled any unneeded waste material signaling that the Guyver was ready to go.

Control Metal. Thankyou very much.

On the other side of the mountain

Koujin finished his lunch and was ready to get back to hiking when he heard a rustling sound coming from the bushes behind him. He turned around just in time to see a small platoon of Chronos soldiers emerge from the brush. They approached him and a few even transformed into their Zoanoid forms to make themselves look even more intimidating.

Transforming into Zoanoid form to intimidate a human? Are you serious? These are trained Chronos foot soldiers, they can break a human with their stares! Not to mention their standard equipment assault rifles!

Quote :

"What are you doing around here boy? This is a restricted area!" shouted one of the Gregole type Zoanoids.

"Um, let's see. Maybe it's because my grandfather owns this area of land and I have free reign here. That's why," Koujin retorted back at the Zoanoid which seemed to piss the creature off in a big way.

A Gregole is one of the most intimidating and powerful of the standard Zoanoids. It is the type most Chronos foot troops dream of being, and Suejin barely bats an eyelid and then shouts it down…

Quote :

"Easy there Gregole. Hey Kid, what's your name? If I like your name your name I'll let you live. If it sucks then Gregole here get's to have his way with you and turn ya into his personal chew toy. Sound good?" replied one of the other soldiers.

"I have a better idea. How about you show me the correct documented permit which allows you onto my grandfathers' land and then we'll talk," Koujin shot back at the Chronos soldier.

*headdesk*

Quote :

The Chronos soldier then raised his right hand in the air then gave a slight forward motion gesture and before Koujin knew what hit him he was down and out. A second later another Chronos soldier stepped from behind a rock holding a tranquilizer gun.

And they don’t slaughter him on the spot because…?

Well, to the credit of the author, we actually get a half-plausible reason:

Voice 3, "Yep, I know him. Remember back four years ago when we took the Okajima's and the Iwakari's away because of what they knew? Well, it so happens that that punk in there just happens to be the boyfriend of Shiori Okajima. If we killed him then we'd lose her cooperation. The main reason she agreed to obey us is because we promised that as long as she did we'd let this punk live. Remember?"

Although, I’m thinking… Why not kill him and lie to her?

Suejin escapes easily, and then:

Quote :

Koujin kept on running until he hit a dead end. He heard alarms going off and even heard an order of, "Send the Guyver after him!" He couldn't believe it.

Neither can I…

“Quick! The bargaining chip we are using to keep the Guyver under control, because we have no other way of controlling it, has escaped! Send the same Guyver after him!!”

Suijin falls down a hole, and the pink Guyver catches up:

Shiori arrived about 20 in the same area 20 seconds later and used her hyper sensors to try and locate Koujin.

We enter chapter 2 with Suejin falling to his death…



Unfortunately…

Quote :

Remembering some of the martial arts moves his grandfather had taught him Koujin began repelling himself against the smooth rocky walls of the underground hole that he was falling through. After a few quick moves, and even quicker reactions to the changing surface of the walls, Koujin landed on the cavern floor with just enough force that his knees buckled right from under him which made him fall flat on his back causing him to hit his head on the ground hard enough that he fell unconscious for a short time.

Fucker doesn’t die… *sigh* Oh well…

The pink ranger Guyver reports back to her commander:

Dr. Vealo frowned and furrowed his brow, "Well, for both your sake and your little sisters', you'd better hope that he either fell of a steep ledge and died or is considering on keeping his mouth shut if he knows what's good for him."

"I know Koujin. He wouldn't do anything stupid. He's too cautious about these sorts of things.

Bitch, he just tried to stare down a fucking Gregole! The guy is an idiot!

Well, turns out that Guyver 3 and his Zeus-Troop are also watching the dig…

This part of the report confirmed Agito's fears as he realized that if a Guyver was there to help with a dig expedition then that could only mean one thing. A Relic and even worse, more Guyver units that would fall into the hands of Chronos.

THERE WERE ONLY THREE GUYVER UNITS LEFT ON EARTH ON A SINGLE SPACESHIP THAT FAILED TO ESCAPE!!!

I know, I know.. The number of the walkers shall be nine and all that jazz, but seriously, Chronos has control of a Guyver unit and they’re using her to oversee a dig? Chronos should have her in cryogenic suspension somewhere trying to find a way to remove the Guyver, or at least finding out more about it.


It’s like a 10th walker fic with the same 10th walker having a friend who had another copy of the one ring, only that person was working for Sauron. IT MAKES NO SENSE!

Back to Suejin as he checks out something in the cave.

Quote :

He then noticed, on the bottom of pool floor, a crystal the size of three footballs embedded into the rock.

The size of the McGuffin shall be the size of three footballs, no more no less. Three footballs shall be its size, and the number of footballs of its size is shall be three…

Following a cave, Suejin finds a Guyver unit and activates it.

Quote :

He couldn't breath. This thing….this…creature…was molding itself onto him, seeping through ever poor, orifice, and any other opening it could find.

Paging Dr. Hentai.

Back at the dig, Agito summons his own verson of the Gigantic Guyver Armour… God only knows why, unless he’s facing a Zoalord he doesn’t need it. The appearance of another Guyver could be a reason, but Guyver 3 has been known to be able to hold his own against Guyver 1 and Guyver 2 as well as the psudo-Guyver Aptom.

However, the author again tries to provide some explanation:

"Alright people, listen up! We have a team of both Chronos soldiers and scientists down there as well as a Guyver. Guyver 1 and I have both faced this female Guyver before and we have estimated her basic physical strength to be around 3x's more than a normal Guyver. She has also displayed a power up function which gives all of her abilities an enormous boost in power. When she uses this power burst her strength then becomes 5x' that or a normal Guyver. The down side to this is that she can only maintain this kind of power burst for no more than 5 minutes from which she then tires out and becomes vulnerable."

[…]

"You are all equipped with high-output Zoanoid buster rifles. They are loaded with ammo which have the ability to pierce even the hide of a Derzerb-type Hyper Zoanoid.

*sigh* A human-scale hand-held rifle with the ability to pierce Derzerb’s armour.

The original Zoanoid-buster gun was a handgun used by Murakami, and he had to use a portion of his latent Zoalord strength in order to fire it, and it could only just pierce the skin of a Gregole, it was useless against Hyper-Zoanoids, of which Derzerb is one of the most powerful and, specifically, durable.

When dealing with the Zoanoids try to maintain a safe distance and do not let them get close to you.

NO FUCKING SHIT!

Back to the dig-site and the Zeus-Troop, Agito ‘Gigantic Dark’ encounters the pink Guyver:

Surely you mean the only Guyver Gigantic in existence? There is only one that is shared by Sho and Agito.
She morphs again and knocks out the equipment of both her enemies and allies…

Quote :

She had heard that these Giant Guyvers were somewhere near 25x' stronger than a standard Guyver. At her best her maximum was at most 5x'. Then she remember that even though they were big and powerful…and fast, they aren't as flexible or nimble as a standard Guyver. She would have to try to use this to here advantage. If she could out maneuver this huge Guyver and get him to slip up, even for just a moment, she could claim victory.

The Gigantic chrysalis enhances the Guyver’s abilities by at least 20x, It doesn’t move fast because it doesn’t have to, doesn’t mean it can’t!

Back to Suejin, jeez this fic jumps around more than a Uwe Boll film:

Where his human body had once been, there was now a strange, alien looking being. Then he noticed the silver medal on his forehead. Upon seeing that his head was flooded with images from TV reports of beings who's bodies looked somewhat similar to his. Then he remembered that white Guyver that was back in that Chronos camp where the dig was taking place. Then it dawned on him, white female Guyver at the dig site, images on TV about an alien vanguard that were called Guyvers, "I'm…..a…..a….a Guyver?!" He asked himself out loud.

Control Metal

An uber flashback involving more soccer-ball, this time, sized McGuffins later and Suejin has full information of his suits abilities. None of which make sense. As I’ve aid, the Guyver units weer standard equipment for the Creators. They’re like space-suits for them, so it makes no sense that earlier versions of them had the ability to do more than the full-powered versions.
Out of nowhere some dude appears:

All of a sudden the person transformed into a Powered Zerebebuth-type Hyper Zoanoid and charged at Koujin.

*sigh* Zerbebuth, like all Hyper-Zoanoids, was unique, they can’t be re-produced...

Quote :

Out of self preservation, the control medal activated it's quantum blast field and sent the Hyper Zoanoid flying across the landscape for a good 300 ft.

Control METAL oh, fuck it…

Suejin receives a telepathic message from his old pal Colin:

"A Guyver."

"You mean those aliens we see on TV," Saki asked.

"No. A Guyver is a human that is combined with an alien bio-weapon. The human thus becomes a living weapon. I should know I recently became a Guyver a couple of years ago and have been in hiding ever since," Collin told them.

6 Guyvers and counting…

"I call myself 'Astral Guyver.' I have the ability to create multiple images of my self and I can even invade my opponents mind for a moment, but only if their will is weak enough. I can also camouflage myself and blend in with my surrounds. "Let me think then. I'm what you call a Quantum Guyver."

"Yeah, but there now seems to be two of you considering that the female Guyver we're about to go rescue is also a Quantum Guyver. Hey, that's it. Her armor is white while yours is black so we'll call you the 'Dark Quantum Guyver.' How does that sound?"

*Sigh* This mess continues for another four chapters, but I honestly don’t have the patience. I’m on my 5th whiskey and coke as it is.

I’d buy the existence of more relics if it was explained why Chronos hadn’t found them… What with the Zoaniod-specific psychic messages they emit… But no, by the looks of things, this author is convinced that every large mountain has a Creator spaceship under it.

Suejin and Colin, (I want to think of a funny name for Suejin’s matey, but Colin just sounds dorky enough on its own. Apologies to any Colins out there!)

They point out that each Guyver has a specific code word that the owners use to summon their armours.

Whith Sho, it’s simply: “Guyver!”, Agito uses the phrase: “BioBoost!”, The fantastic Guyver 2, (one of my favorite characters) uses the simple, militaristic: “Adapt!” While Murakami, who is not a Guyver, but is a main character, uses the bizarre: “Theriomorph!”. So what do our two dingbats come up with?

Colin:

It’s the Japanese word for “Transform”. Of course, Suejin is a westerner who has embraced the east, (I mean, he watches their cartoons and everything!) so why the fuck not…

Oh, and not forgetting:

At first I was convinced it was a spelling mistake… But no, This wally seems convinced that a Guyver’s Control Metal is actually a Control Medal. I mean, it’s only the most talked about facet of the Guyver’s armour aside from the Mega Smasher.

Saki looked off in the direction that her big brother and Collin had flown off in and said a small prayer, wishing for their safe return. Her mother came up behind her and gave her a look to reassure her daughter that everything would be alright. They both knew that Koujin would not go down easily and if anything bad did happen to him he would at least go down fighting.

Yeah.. They’re only going off to take on a bunch of Zoanoids wearing unknown alien supersuits that neither of them have used before. Hell, Sho has been wearing his for almost two years by the end of the comics, and he still didn’t know everything it could do.

They arrive at the campsite and are assaulted by some random pleb, who we assume to be part of Zeus. Guyver 3’s anti-chronos team.

OK, let’s pick apart this reaction.

The soldier knows what a Guyver looks like. Sure, these guys look slightly different, but they are still identifiable as Guyvers.

The soldier assumes that the Guyvers are working for Chronos. Protip: if the real Chronos had control of a Guyver, let alone two… There would be NO resistance! Chronos would be master of all, end of discussion. However, this Chronos already has possession of a Guyver, and is utterly failing to do anything with it.

And finally, the soldier reckons he’d have a chance, even with his canon-defying gun, his first instinct should be to either run for his life or hide and see what they’re doing. Neither of which guarantee survival, but they have a slightly higher chance of working than engaging them head-on!

Everyone in this story is an idiot.

Quantumn Guyver kneecaps the poor dolt.

"You, you're the same as that bitch that our boss is taking care of," the man said to Quantum Guyver.

"What bitch? The only bitch I see here is the one crying his eyes out while holding his injured leg!" the Quantum Guyver shot back with a tone of anger in his voice. If the man were able to see his real face he would have seen an evil smirk spread across the Guyvers' face.

And demonstrates that he is a sadistic asshole.

The Astral Guyver looked the man dead in the eyes and the man starred in horror as they flashed a bright pink colour. The man couldn't take it anymore and without even realizing it he had wet himself out of fright. The two Guyvers saw this and they both let out a slight chuckle.

LOL! We are hyper-powered alien super-weapons! It’s fun to torture some human and mock his fear!

Somewhare else, Agito ‘Gigantic Dark’ and the Pink Guyver are facing off.

I mean, it’s not as though the original premise of the Guyver universe revolved around there ONLY BEING THREE GUYVER UNITS IN EXISTANCE! Apparently, the fucking things are everywhere in this world, and the Pink Guyver is aware of this.

Agito attempts to justify his actions:

You work for Chronos, you've killed many of my men, and you've even taken the lives of innocent people. So you see, I've got as much right to punish you as much as anyone else does,"

It’s not as though Agito also worked for Chronos and has slaughtered hundreds of innocents in the past, oh, wait a minute, yes he has I hate this fic!

Agito moves in for then kill:

It would have been apparent to anyone else that she was telling the truth. But Agito never believed people that worked for Chronos.

And, Agito is in character. Although you can replace the phrase ‘worked for Chronos’ there and replace it ‘anyone’, and he’d still be in character.

He wanted to make sure she couldn't attack properly and to also cause as much damage to her as possible before he killed her.

He was enjoying watching her struggle and he wanted to cause her even more pain.

[…]

He then came to a halt and stood directly over her. Then without even using any effort he grabbed her by the throat and lifted her off the ground allowing her to flail around.

Agito had to admit that he was enjoying this

And now he’s out of character again. Yes, he did slaughter hundreds of innocents, but he didn’t enjoy it, technically, he had no choice. Yes, he’s a power-mad megalomaniac, but he, unlike Suejin and Colin, is not sadistic!

SUDDENLY!!

*headdesk* And the author can’t even get the Guyver’s most identifiable weapon right.

Time for yet another fan-rant

First: You cannot ‘aim’ the megasmasher that well. Its blast radius, albeit plot-and-scenario-specific in the comics, is enormous at the best of times, and it is canonically proven to be able to shatter a mountain.

To the best of my knowledge, the mega smasher has never been used on a full Guyver, it was used on the half-melted Guyver 2, but that barely counts. I doubt if a Guyver can withstand it. The Guyver Gigantic, on the other hand, could. There are, after all, Zoanioids out there who have survived partial, and in once case a full blast, but they were in less that tip-top shape afterwards.

Were Guyver Gigantic hit by this blast, he would be badly scorched, and damaged, but he would be intact. The Pink Guyver, on the other hand, would likely be vaporized.

And again, it’s not as though anyone has any knowledge of alternate Guyvers. There are only supposed to be two Guyvers in existence: Himself and Sho.

Agito witdraws, due to his plot-induced injusries and Suejin and Colin rescue the female guyver, sho goes inot defensive mode, but does not attack them. This makes no sense, so the Guyvers discuss it:

Why, in the name of any form of logic, would a prototype piece of equipment be more advanced than the fucking advanced models?

And why is it sentient? What good would that do? It would, in fact, be an annoyance at least and a horrendously fucking dangerous problem at worst!

Oh, and I skipped a bit where Agito gets smacked by two Mega Smasher blasts within a few seconds, because I assumed it to be one blast from Suejin and another by Colin… But no.

So, the troop head back to a shack and heal up. There the Pink Guyver powers down and they realize who she is. They also notice that half of her clothes have been ripped up in the battle.

Guyver 3 then brought up his right leg and foot then brought it down on the man head, instantly crushing it under the force of the blow. Pieces of skull, brain, and blood scattered all over the ground and against his armor. Guyver 3 let out a small laugh as a few of his soldiers tried their best to hold down their lunch at the site. Seeing and killing Zoanoids was one thing, but a regular human was something else.

And now he’s back out. A Chronos scientist would be a bloody useful resource for him but in this universe Agito is a sadistic, murdering idiot.

Back to Suejin’s house and some more fapping material.

Well, I finished the last instalment halfway though a chapter, because the stupid just got to me too much, so we rejoin the story just after Chronos attacks Suejin, Colin and the Pink Guyver, forcing them to tem up with Agito in Suejin’s fantasy home.

She was even more speechless that, after all these years, Koujin still thought of her as 'his' girlfriend. To Shiori, she wouldn't want it any other way. She then started thinking about how she would treat him for it later and started getting some pretty good ideas.

Suejin uses his super-spechul suit to teleport all the civilians out of danger, and out of blackmail reach of Chronos effeftivly freeing the Pink Guyver.

Well, this actually surprises me. Aside from insinuating that Colin is on the same power-level as Guyver Gigantic, it means that he is talking more than Suejin... But Suejin is fighting alongside The Pink Guyver, so what’s the betting on a plot-convenient ‘save the hyper-powered damsel-in-distress sequence coming up?

First we’ll follow the Guyver Gigantic’s exploits:

The Zoanoid fell and began to disintegrate instantly. Gigantic Dark the brought his arm back only to find that all three of his left arm blades had fallen off due to the Zoanoids acidic blood.

"Damn, I got careless. Well, at least I now only have a single ZX-TOLE to deal with. I wonder how those kids are faring," Agito thought to himself as he started trading laser blasts with the ZX-TOLE he had been facing.

Sigh… The last ZX-tole, well, to be honest, I should be saying ‘the only ZX-tole that should exist’, got super-optimized, and spent almost an entire comic (and nearly two episodes of the last series) battling Aptom. Eventually losing.

Guyver Gigantic wiped out Aptom with a single blast, it barely moved. THAT is how powerful he should be.

Instead, Guyver Gigantic wastes all his energy, winds up withdrawing and leaving Guyver 3 venerable to attack from an Enzyme… A Zoanoid Guyver 3 has faced on multiple occasions, and has developed several specific strategies for defeating. But, this allows for Suejin to be overly awesome and save, not just the Pink Guyver, like I predicted, but everyone with a supurb display of ungrammatical awesomeness.

"That's it! It's time to end this!" Koujin shouted out as he activated his quantum coupler. He reached his hand behind his back and grabbed the arm of the Enzyme II and crushed its arm then ripped it right out of its socket. The Zoanoid screamed in pain as it grabbed the bloody stump near it's shoulder and then looked to where the dark Quantum Guyver had been standing, only to see nothing but empty space. "Hiiiiyyyyaaaaaa!" Koujin screamed as the Zoanoid looked up to see the Guyver ram it's torn limb straight into it's head, killing it instantly.

After the battle, an epilogue:

The alien computer finished the final preparations of the resuscitation process after installing all knowledge of the Earths languages. The computer beeped and both pods began to open. Smoke came out of the pods as amniotic fluid poured out everywhere, revealing to human-like beings. After the smoke cleared one of the beings sat up and opened its eyes.

If someone were there to witness the event, they would notice that the being looked like a beautiful young girl that looked no older than 18 years old. She had smooth pale skin, chin length blue hair, and red eyes with slits in them. She also had pointed ears like an elf. The young girl stepped out of the pod and walked over to the other pod which contained her older brother.

"Soon, very soon…..brother, you and I….shall pass judgment on this world," the young girl said and she placed her hand on her brothers arm. It looks like the world is about to experience a whole new terror. "Just you wait Archanfel…..my brother and I shall pass judgment upon you, and not even the two Quantum units can save you from that," the young girl said aloud.

Now, Archanfel probably is a match for the Guyver Gigantic. Just to give you a taste of the power level he is supposed to be at. I don’t believe the two have actually met, Archanfel is kinda like a Zoanoid Great Old One, so long as nothing is directly threatening him, (Like a Zoalord equipping a Guyver unit, which is the only reason he appeared in the comics/series) he is quite happy to sleep.
I wonder how hard he gets screwed over in this fic.

2nd whisky and coke of the day, and the start of chapter 4: The penultimate chapter.

Yeah, the Guyver series dropped the cushy, sitcom setting pretty much the moment Sho activated the first unit… That’ll be Issue/episode 1, for those not in the know.

Alright, I’m picking nits, but seriously, not half a chapter before this, Colin and Suejin were laughing their tits off at some poor guy who’d pissed himself with fear after they’d blown off his kneecaps and had threatened him with a slow and painful death. Excuse me if I exhibit some culture shock.

Hamil turns into a giant bug in that film. It's worth it for that! But Mutronics (for that is its name) is otherwise a barely-coherent romp.

There is a second film too... Guyver Dark Hero. Which is pretty much a feature-length Power Rangers episode, supposedly, for grown-ups. Very silly, but it does have some pretty cool men in rubber suits beating up on each other action, and some pretty cool music.

Saying that, do not, for the love of God, take my word alone on the quality of music.

So... Suejin, Colin and Pink Guyver all head to some made up city called Neo Metropolis.

The city is currently a battleground between Chronos, Zeus and ‘a Japanese resistance’.

That last line suggests to me that these people are Sho’s pals. Making the one 19-year old girl Mizuki, the 19-year old guy Tetsuro... Christ only knows who the others are, even fans need more than a rough guesstamate of their ages, author!

We get a short description of the battle lines:

Why is Agito fighting against Imakarum? Coz I thought they were on the same side? At least when it comes to Chronos?

Why is Sho fighting alongside Aptom? Has he forgotten that the first time they met Aptom threatened to rape his girlfriend?

Now that I think of it, sir, why is Aptom fighting at all... Isn’t he supposed to be dead?

Spoiler:

Oh, and for those wondering what Libertus are... they’re... difficult. Technically, however, they should be working for Guyver 3, and therefore battling against Aptom because of the threat he represents.

Oh, and a character called Griselda is there also... She, for all intents and purposes, leads the Libertus and is a ridiculously powerful Zoanoid, created by Guyver 3 whom she practically worships... Just in case she pops up in the future.

Anyway, our three heroes arrive...

I don’t understand what is going on with Imakarum here… This fanbrat has demonstrated that he has read the later comics, and unless he’s seen one which I haven’t (which, admittedly is quite possible) I still don’t get his heel turn. Imakarum was origionally Murakami, whose life was stolen from him by Chronos, he spent the longest time helping Sho defeat Chronos, all the time knowing that he could die at any moment… he was saved only by the merging of him with a defeated Zoalord (Gyot). There is no facet of his character that I know of that would cause him to suddenly turn against the people to whom he practically owes his life.

There might be a hint here. ‘His mater, Archanfel’, could mean that he is being controlled somehow… But even then, Sho being the ridiculous Spider-man like moral paragon that he is, would have serious problems fighting him.

Anyway, Arcanfel is also filled with ‘malicious intent to kill any and everything it saw in its path.’. So how do we differentiate here?

Yup, the shock of Suejin being kidnapped has permanently traumatized the Pink Guyver… Oh, those women with their delicate woman-minds.

Agito and the Zeus-Troop forge an uneasy alliance with Sho and Aptom and they go off looking for the Pink Guyver and Colin, hoping to team up to rescue Suejin…

Meanwhile Chronos and the Zoalord Council also decide that rescuing Suejin is their best course of action.

Elsewhere…

When you realise that the inside of a Creator’s ship kinda looks like the alien ship in Alien, you can get a grasp on how funny I find this.

"Just by being here, he could absorb the ships power and Evolt to 'War Form'."
