The bolded word ought to tip you off. The Yugoslavian army was notoriously lax with these things.

Across the border you can get a fully automatic AK-47 for as low as 200€, it depends whether you're friendly with the seller and if you break out the slivovitz before closing the deal. I guess a surplus Spigot would't be difficult to get your hands on, it's only a matter of money.
