Is putting intentionally shitty games on Steam Greenlight / Early Access (although this is neither, it is supposedly a full release) a new marketing strategy or some sort of meta-trolling?

What the fuck is that casual mode? It looks like a crappy free-to-play flash/browser game. My favourite part of the "wandering around the airplane doing random shit" portion of the game is how you keep walking through bits of the overhead bins.
