“If we allowed those same 12,000 people to work in the community and contribute to our economy the total — even on minimum wage — would be $254,951,424, per annum.”

They're not even doing it to save money, since it costs far more money to lock refugees up than it does to let them loose. This whole song and dance is just state-sponsored racism. DON'T WANT ANY MORE BROWN OR BLACK OR YELLOW PEOPLE COMING IN NOW DO WE?

In other words, my government doesn't give two hoots about human rights, they just want everything done their way no matter how much people are inconvenienced or even traumatized by it.

I can't wait for the election so both Labor and Coalition MPs can get their asses handed to them.

The kangaroos should do one of two things

1.) Let the refugees in, requiring them to learn communications skills (what passes for English in that shit hole), and enjoy the economic boost provided by cheap labor
OR
2.) Blow the incoming boats out of the water

Bureaucratic Hell is too expensive to maintain and doesn't accomplish anything.
