So, are they trying to say that the Holocaust would have never happened if Hitler had sat down for a nice cup of tea? Or that the course of history would have remained the same, save for Hitler wearing loud shirts? I find the second interpretation very chilling.

Is it me, or does that model look like Tom Cruise dressed as Hitler?!

I suspect they worked on the rationale that "If our tea can relax Hitler, it can relax you!"

Logical, but it takes a certain kind of brain to comprehend it.

"Make Peace With The World" is their tagline.

Clever as it may be, 90% of people viewing this are going to unable or unwilling to look past the fact it's fucking Hitler. Some lines simply aren't worth crossing. That's one of them.

When I first saw this thread, I was thinking it might be a Japanese product since they tend to use random English sounding words. Like a diet pill called "Jesus Body". Wasn't Turkey neutral in WWII? I'm not sure. Either way, that ad is pretty dumb.

It's advertising. You have to grab the viewer's attention in the matter of one second, and who better to do this than Hitler? If anything, it'll turn heads. That's what a good ad is about, whether you like the ad or not doesn't matter. You don't remember the amazing art direction of an ad, you only remember the crazy inane shit in it.

Like the cavemen, or the dude crushing a bowling ball with his bare hands, or those bears who can never wipe their asses right. Inane, but memorable.

But then I find the walkdown scene in "The Producers" the funniest thing I've ever seen - it never fails to have me in "I-think-I-peed-a-little" hysterics.

Just look at that adorable little bag...

The ad fails, but not because it's OMG!Hitler.

They should've used other features of recognition, like a more lookalike model and the infamous emo fringe, and used a more relaxed pose without the arm band.

So, the Hawaiian shirt and the sunglasses try and tell us that the mass murdering maniac has been switched off, while the 'stick up my ass' iconic pose and the arm band tell otherwise. All because whoever came up with the idea decided that the sheeple are so stupid that they they wouldn't recognise the GROFAZ unless he's actually wearing a swastika.

For the reasons above, the two other ads suck even harder.
