'Oompa Loompas' sought by police over Norwich assault

A 28-year-old man was attacked by three men and a woman as he left a kebab house on Prince of Wales Road in the city on Thursday.

Two of the men had painted orange faces and dyed green hair and were wearing hooped tops, as in the 1971 film.

The victim suffered cuts and black eyes, Norfolk Police said.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

Orange Skin as if fake tan over applied? Hair with greenish tinge as if failed bleaching job? hooped tops as if fashion victim?

These were not oompa loompas! These were lads from Chelmsford on Norwich for a New Year's night and not in any costume.

I can only hope that they were part of a rogue band of Oompa Loompas seeking revenge on Johnny Depp and Tim Burton for their slandering of their kind in that brutally awful remake.

Oh, I'm sure he's on the hitlist too. But Depp and Burton were the brains behind that fiasco.
