Robert Bork Dead at 85

Antonin Scalia on Bork:

Bork on his clusterfuck nomination:

The main culprit of the original "Borking," Ted Kennedy, had become a verb years ago. To "Kennedy" someone is to drive drunkenly off of a bridge with them in the car, and leave them for dead.

Well I've never heard of him so he doesn't matter.

I have nothing to contribute to this thread except that I somehow misread the name as "Robot Dork." That is all.

Now, now. I heard he was a polite and gracious individual in person, and I appreciate that he was willing to put his whacko beliefs out there fair and square so that the Senators voting on his nomination knew what a crap SCOTUS Justice he would be. (58 voted against him; the most ever.) If modern conservative nominees were as honest as Bork, we'd all be better off.
