The amount of wank there will be about a game is usually inversly proportional to the game's ability to live up to said wank.
And since this game is catering to the "Look at me I'm watching a cartoon for kids in what I insist is a totally unironic fashion, isn't that awesome?" MLP crowd, the game's going to be disappointing. So I'll pass.

There is the ever-present chance that it will evaporate at any point, because I'm pretty sure this is like four people working in some sort of 3rd party program made by Enterbrain who all, I assume, have lives and/or jobs.
That having been said, all the hype surrounding this game is coming from fans of fighting games and/or ponies and both of those groups are satisfied with the way the system looks and the way the graphics/sound fit together respectively. The developers have said that they're trying to keep it relatively simple and do periodic balance updates as time goes on after release, since this is probably going to be free and PC only. Shouldn't be too hard, I don't think they plan on having more than 8 characters or so.
Plus, Applejack has several WWF moves including that elbow drop thing, so that's pretty fuckin' funny

Even if you're right about this one, at least the music is good. MLP fans are awfully dedicated to their derivative works, though, so I think we can expect a decent quality of workmanship.
