Shit Has Gotten Real in Egypt

From where I'm sitting it looks like Egypt might be in a state of civil war already.

OMG OMG Mubarak's just resigned from the NDP party. His presence as president is even less legitimate than it was before.

It'll only be a matter of time before he goes.

I reckon the USA is making it look worse than the UK is. Neither of us are getting the real picture. 9 hours. But by opening those prisons and mixing supporters with protestors, president what's his name is practically INCITING civil war.

Saying things like he doesn't want to leave when the country when it's unstable, when he's the one causing a lot of instability.

(reads above post) Ah. Smart man. Time to leave the country, I'd say.

The guy who is taking over is a proper twat though. Doesn't matter. Mubarak's losing his grip, world leaders are starting to tell him he should go... he'll be gone soon.

Now I'm starting to worry about what will happen with the next guy in power, because I'll bet there'll be quite the number of people who won't want him, so he'll break out the army and start enforcing law with them.

As if Egypt didn't have enough problems as it was.

From what I've heard Mubarak was on his way out to begin with due to declining health and wouldn't seek another term after his current one. Hopefully this means good things for Egypt, but I'm skeptical.

I've hardly heard of anything else about Egypt on the news stations here. They decided to pull their journalists out.

Yeah, they said that ages ago. It was on the Guardian's liveblog.

I find it disappointing news sources seem to be allowing the protests to gradually sink into obscurity. It's exactly what would benefit Mubarak.

Apparently, he;s signed over all the powers that he legally can according to the constitution, but staying because of powers he can't, like... amending the constitution.
