The Vigilant Citizen

There's a trend I at one point saw to be rather disconcerting and that was propaganda to down celebrities 'owned' by the 'Illuminati'.
I don't know if the popularity had anything to do with the film Angels and Demons based on Dan Brown's “novel”.

Clasically, the Illuminati (meaning Enlightened) was an organization/secret society founded in 1776 in Ingolstadt by a Jesuit.
Many things were thought about the Illuminati, and it's hard to find much information on the internet without sifting through the 4chan and theorist's shit.

This is not what the thread is about, the purpose of the thread is the current view of the 'Illuminati', or the 'New World Order' (I've also heard 'shadow government') and the theories posted on The Vigilant Citizen.

The Illuminati are an organization behind current media. They push musicians and actors to become famous on the promise that these brainwashed cultists will turn the youth of today to worship the devil, and that women will become slatternly controllable whores. I've read in multiple places that Disney is part of this secret empire even.

But thank god, those at the The Vigilant Citizen, whose slogan is “Symbols Rule The World, Not Words Nor Laws”, are there to help us identify what is safe and what is not!

This whole page has information about mind control, and interpretations of the illuminati symbols present in her name, videos, dress and how she acts.

The Vigilant Citizen is an entertaining read if taken with a grain of salt. Most All of it is about celebrities being controlled by the Illumanti, and kids of today being brainwashed.

It's basically a fast-food website, tasty but with little nutritional value. It's saving grace to me, is that it interprets things in music videos and gives me a different insight to them. While I don't believe that they are linked to the devil, it shows some of the thought put into videos (albeit 99.9999% of it is crap).

Trust me, long before Dan Brown ever wrote 'any' of his so-called novels, The Illuminati was STILL controlling the world. I've heard of manuscripts dating back to early 18th century that claimed they were behind Christ's crucifixtion. Later ones blame them for everything from the Spanish Influenza epidemic to the outbreak of WW 1 and WWII.

Some people, alas, can't accept that the universe is a random place and things just happen. There has to be a grand, evil design behind it all. It comforts them to have someone to blame what they see as the 'moral decline of Western civilization' on.

Oh, the Freemasons get their share of shit from this website too. I'm halfway through one of their Lady Gaga articles, and all they can talk about is how she apparently did a photo shoot in a Masonic temple.

A lot of what they're making a fuss over with her (eyes hidden, apparent Baphomet symbolism, etc) are just dramatic moves that sometimes get reused because they work. But apparently, "it looks cool" is less compelling an answer than "she dressed up as a cat! THAT'S A REFERENCE TO THE SEX-KITTEN PROGRAMMING INSTILLED BY THE CIA." Their worldview is so set up that everything has to mean something. I'm half expecting an article to end with "Please--I go through everyone's trash."

That being said, the site is weirdly entertaining.

Tungsten Monk-do they bother to explain how the symbolism is supposed to effect people who don't know what it is? Because I've watched that video a dozen times with my sons, and while I did get the eyes being covered and the Baphomet stuff, my sons had no idea what I was talking about when I pointed them out to them. Probably because they don't go around delving into weird things like their mother.

Also, I've actually been in a Masonic Temple (the ex's stepfather was a Freemason, and he used to take pictures when they held their 'Rites.') If that video was filmed in a Masonic Temple, it was one that had a helluva lot more money than the one I visited.

And the Masonic Rites? Consist of a bunch of silly play-acting; grown men dressing up in costumes and apparently doing revisionist history about something that happened back in Biblical times. I was never so bored in my life. Or maybe I just missed the symbolism.

I'd like to say that a lot of the problem is that this is the internet and most people skills to think rationally cut itself down by about 90%, but there are people that act this stupid off of the internet.

You know, The Vigilant Citizen seems to be nearly just as batshit as these guys.

I used to frequent conspiracy boards and would run across this kind of crap rather frequently.

Didn't Tesla have some connection to the Illuminati?

I much prefer pop-culture Illuminati. Gimmie Deus Ex instead of crackpot conspiracy theorists any day.

When I was very young, we used to go visit an elderly aunt of mine who kept her windows lined with tin-foil because it kept the commies from beaming death rays at her.

She was essentially harmless, being that she was in her late 80s and probably suffering from Alzheimers (back then they just called it senility). Her daughter lived next door to her and made sure she ate and went to bed. And since nobody in the family ever talked about it, I grew up thinking it was no big deal.

Now I realize she was probably a genius who knew the truth, instead of a lonely old woman who was suffering from dementia.

Wow, your aunt sounds a lot like my uncle. I've spent the last few days with him, and he kept telling me about being abducted by aliens, and how Obama is really an alien abducting us to put chips in our brains so that his species of aliens will come down to enslave the human race. I have never heard that before.

You know, for a while there, I actually kept a notepad next to my computer and wrote down whenever some newspaper or fringe website announced when the world was going to end/the aliens were invading/the Rapture was due.

Half a page in, I realized they really were all crazy bastards, tore it up, and threw it away.

2012 is still the BIG YEAR, though. Despite it having been proved that the whole shit with the Mayan calendar supposedly ending was just a mistranslation, everyone and their dog is convinced that 2012 is when it's REALLY GONNA HAPPEN!
