The thing is -and people outside the Tokio Hotel fandom might not know this, because I think he'd already stuck his fingers in a power outlet by the time they set off to conquer America- that when they first came out he was kind of cute. More in a "come to Mama" sort of way than "OMG HOT" (at least to my age group) but he was mostly a little emo, not explodey.
