Um, yeah. I'm curious as to the thought process here - considering the number of relatives around there wasn't any attempt to restrain the son or otherwise break up the fight before the father goes and gets his gun?

In my county, an elder of the Presbyterian church in the neighbouring village shot his son sometime last month over a family dispute. The son was an alcoholic and had been giving his family grief for years.

Father shot him in the head.

Dunno if it was accidental.

Given the context, I wonder if the shooting was a really, really ill-aimed 'warning shot' to the kid to back the fuck off, or a shooting in self-defense, or in defense of the unnamed woman?

That said, whatever went down, it sounds pretty damn awful.

Well, Christmas has just taken on a whole new meaning for that family...
